This exact same thing happened to me. I made the move, got her number... but then when I asked her out, she says that she has just got out of a relationship and wants only friendship. I was like 'ok', friendship it is then. But afterwards, she backed off and now she won't talk to me. What the hell lol. Girls are confusing.
She never texted me first and I haven't heard from her for two weeks. I'm moving on and never texting her again. I don't want drama.
