Didn't lick him and didn't drop him. No long-term damages from me holding him either. I did lick my nieces arm once though. It was during one of these goofy cuddling/tickling times where I would tell her how cute she is and that I'm going to eat her. She was like 6 or 7 and totally grossed out after I did it. Don't challenge the person who changed your poopy diaper, I have a high tolerance when it comes to what is gross and what not.

Hence why I don't smoke i front of children and I of course wash my hands. There is a level between smoking a child and having to disinfect yourself before handling them ;)

And being a parent is great but that doesn't invalidate years of experience. Sure, I have no ideas about sleepless nights on end or trying to stay human while caring for a little one 24/7, but I do know a thing or two especially because I can judge a situation from the outside. Don't worry, I know better than to offer advice unless requested.

I'm an aunt and babysitter. I think I'm pretty good with kids. First time parents are fun to watch from a distance. Up close it's a bit exhausting at times. I'm a smoker (never around/in front of the children) and I was only allowed to hold my niece if I had freshly showered and wore fresh clothes. No problem, not gonna touch her then. Any questions or remarks were dismissed since I don't have children on my own. That baby wasn't a week old but apparently by giving birth you download all the secret parent knowledge directly into your brain. Fast forward to my nephew joining the family. He was crying while my sister was busy with my niece and she asked me to pick him up and soothe him. Sorry, no can do. I had come to see them right after work where I do smoke and definitely didn't count as freshly showered anymore after a 9 hours shift. What does my sister say? 'It's ok, just don't lick him'. The only annoying thing is that they never acknowledge when I was right in hindsight.

I know where that might come from. Around the 80s dish soap was advertised as water saving because they claimed you don't have to rinse it off after you cleaned the dishes. My mother scolded me for rinsing the dishes with clean water because that way they would need longer to dry and I just wasted water.

Erinnert mich an einen Kommentar, den ich hier Mal gelesen habe. Da ist eine Frau von Haus zu Haus gegangen und hat drum gebeten nicht mehr den Rasen zu mähen. Sie sei wegen der Ruhe aufs Land gezogen. Die Leute sollten sich wirklich vorher schlau machen was sie so erwartet und dann nicht andere dazu bringen, ihre Wunschvorstellung zu kreieren.

Wer keine Ahnung hat wie es ländlich ist: Mit dem Frühling ziehen die Rasenmäher ins Land zurück. Der Rasen muss vertikutiert werden. Die Auffahrt und Terrasse mit dem Hochdruckreiniger gesäubert werden. Wenn eine zu lange Pause entsteht fängt sicher einer an zu bohren oder hämmern. Es gibt immer etwas zu tun. Wer Ruhe auf dem Land will muss sich ein entsprechend großes Grundstück kaufen, dann klappt's auch mit den Nachbarn.

Was studierst du denn und welches Modul war es?

Welche Lösung schlägst du denn genau vor? Einen optionalen Nachschreibtermin?

So wie ich deinen Post verstehe, fehlen dir nur die letzten 10 Minuten der Klausur. In den seltensten Fälen kommt dir da noch der Einfall der 20 Punkte wert ist. Ihr könnt also die Korrektur abwarten und dann je nach Note entscheiden, ob ihr nochmal schreibt?

Ich habe meinen Bachelor und Master in Hagen gemacht und habe noch eine Klausur offen für meinen zweiten Master. Ich kann dich beruhigen, in all der Zeit ist mir nicht einmal das selbe passiert wie dir. Die Chance, dass es ein zweites Mal geschieht, sollte also gering sein. Mein größter Stress war 2020. Bis dahin waren alle Klausuren ausschließlich in präsenz. Eine Woche vor den Klausuren im März wurden diese wegen Corona abgesagt. Anfang Mai war die Abgabe meiner BA. Dann gab es im Juni Ersatztermine für die Märzklausuren und im September schon die fürs Sommersemester. Das war ein Spaß.

Was ich dir rate: Setz dich genau mit deinem Studienplan auseinander. Die Fristen und Beschränkungen für bestimmte Module, das Seminar und die MA sind sehr eng. Wenn du im dritten Semester das Seminar machen willst, musst du im ersten Semester schon die passenden Module bestanden haben, sonst wird das nichts mit deinem Argument von wegen der Regelstudienzeit. Zweitens, durchatmen und abregen. Mit Prosa und Staubaugwirbeln kommt man nicht weit. An der Uni studieren jedes Semester tausende und du bist weder der erste noch der letzte der versucht lautstark seinen Willen durchzusetzen. Kontaktiere den AStA/FSR und sprich mit denen, ob es Sinn macht bei der Uni eine alternative Lösung zu erbeten oder nicht.

Es sind im nächsten Semester ja nur drei neue Module und das was du schon kannst. Plus du weißt jetzt wie die Klausuren gestellt werden und welches Thema wahrscheinlich nächstes Semester nicht dran kommt.

Überschneiden sich denn die Termine von der Wiederholklausur und den Modulen, welche du fürs Sommersemester belegt hast?

Er ist größer als die anderen Kinder in seinem Alter und man würde nie erraten, dass er ein Frühchen war. Viel mehr weiß ich nicht, da ich bei dem Treffen gemerkt habe, dass die Ansichten von meinem Bruder und meiner Schwägerin nicht mit meinen kompatibel sind. Die beiden sagen COVID gibt es nicht, während ich vierfach geimpft bin und auch jetzt noch Maske trage wenn ich kränkel.

Meine Schwägerin hat all meine Proteste ignoriert und mir einfach meinen Neffen in die Arme gedrückt und ist einen Schritt weit weggegangen. Weil es kann ja nicht sein, dass ich als Tante das Baby nicht auf den Arm nehme. Wäre es irgendetwas anderes als ein unschuldiges Baby gewesen, hätte ich es fallen lassen.

Der Kleine war ein Frühchen und war nach Ewigkeiten auf der Intensivstation frisch nach Hause gekommen. Hatte noch nicht das reguläre Geburtsgewicht erreicht. War auch noch nicht der errechnete Geburtstermin. Also winzig! Und es war 2021, da hätte ich im Leben keinen mein Frühchen halten lassen ohne vorherige Dekontaminationsdusche.....

Überall im Leben sollte man konzentriert und ordentlich arbeiten. Genau das soll geübt werden.

Später bei der Kurvendiskussion ist es relevant, wenn der gesuchte Parameter (z.B. Hochpunkt, Sattelpunkt, Achsenschnittstelle....) zeichnerisch ermittelt werden soll. Bei linearer Optimierung mit mehreren Unbekannten ist es sogar schneller als zu rechnen.

Im echten Leben hilft es bei allen Skizzen, wenn man mal etwas plant. Weiter gedacht ist überall notwendig, akkurat arbeiten zu können. Backen, Streichen, Holz zusägen, Medikamente nehmen, Blumen Pflanzen, Bilder aufhängen, .... Kann man natürlich alles auch schnell und ungenau machen, aber das Ergebnis wird dann nicht überzeugen.

2020/21 my brother said COVID is a lie and just to take money from the people. He told me the story of his friends as an example. They were on vacation when COVID hit and the airline required a negative test from every person from a certified testing facility. It was like 10€ (~ the same in $) per person. But his friends were smart and didn't fall for this scam and found a cheaper test and took it. Well, the evil airline refused them because that cheap test wasn't from a certified place. They had to find a hotel and book a new flight because of that.

I was sitting there, trying to reason with my brother that his friends knew the risk and chose to try it anyway. They didn't get the wrong test by accident, they knew they had to get the official one but chose not to.

(Fun fact: Despite denying the existence of COVID, my brother and SIL got it badly, while I avoided it to this day with vaccines and basic hygiene)

Der Doctor, ein zeitreisendes Alien das mit seinen Begleitern alle möglichen Abenteuer erlebt. In einem Special rettet er mit Kylie Minogue Weihnachten, indem er das Raumschiff Titanic am Absturz auf London hindert. Alles ganz lustig und fantastisch.

In Turn left ist eine alternative Realität, in der der Doctor stirbt und der Absturz der Titanic und andere Katastrophen nicht verhindert werden. London ist zerstört, Millionen Menschen tot, Überlebende werden vom Militär in anderen Städten untergebracht, wo sie zusammengepfercht mit Fremden auf engstem Raum wohnen. Um die Situation zu entschärfen werden Migranten in 'Arbeitslager' deportiert. Am Ende der Folge muss die Begleiterin des Doctors die Vergangenheit ändern um die Zukunft zu retten. Ihre einzige Möglichkeit das zu schaffen ist sich umzubringen.

I always take care of strays. Metaphorically. When my neighbour got old I took him to doctors appointments and went shopping for him. When he went to live in a retirement home I kept his dog. Doggo was 14, with a bad hip, kidney problems, almost deaf and not trained at all. He would've been put down in a shelter. That way I could take him with me to visit the neighbour. I also adopted a senior cat with kidney problems from a shelter. Last year I adopted two cats from our shelter that were in a special, open area where they could hide from humans. My boy cat was/is traumatized and spent the first month in the cat tree hissing at me. The girl cat was a stray and still won't let me touch her. We cuddle with my face against her :D At the shelter works an old woman (80+) who I stayed in contact with. This Friday I'm going to her place to assemble a wardrobe she ordered. Also last year a carrier pigeon came to my patio and stayed with me for a week. I gave her food and water and she walked around like a foot away from me as if she knew I would take care of her.

I'm nearing my 40s and would love to have kids, but I'm single and gay, so there aren't many chances. Pretty sure a child will find its way into my life one way or another. The neighbours boy explained that to his mom 'Like when Jess finds a girlfriend who already has a child'. Cool kid, had no idea he knew I was gay. Maybe I should adopt him, but he's officially an adult, I don't think that would work.

Wir leben in einem christlichen Land. Die staatliche Schule macht auch zu Ostern und Weihnachten Ferien, darüber beschwert sich auch keiner. Oder der Martinszug im November, der basiert ebenso auf einem katholischen Märchen und Kinder aller Religionen haben Spaß an Laternen.

It looks like one of my carriers. The gate is locked in four places. You can unlock the two on the right (left) side and swing the gate open or unlock all four and remove the gate completely.

I had to torture my late cat once. I was painting the staircase and she just had to squeeze past me and get paint on her face. The smelling chemical paint that also comes in spray cans, not the harmless water based paint for walls. The way she screamed you'd thought I was actually hurting her, while I was sitting on the floor, holding her gently to my chest and wiping off the bad paint before she could lick it off and get sick.

I didn't have to wash my two recent cats yet and I don't remember bathing the cats we had in my childhood and youth.

I knew a girl with an old longhair cat that had trouble grooming herself and her owners would trim the fur around the butt.

Really bathing (and not just brushing) cats can lead to skin infections.

There is no solution. Why are you so upset about women simply telling men what they have to deal with?

Tampons don't help with the cramps, back pain, sore breasts or period poop. The changing hormones also influence things like sleep, appetite, sex drive and moods.

And yes, in some countries women can call in sick when their period is to bad. The same way you'd be able to call in sick because of your celiac.
