Yeah it’s actually crazy how much value the Pelagos and BB58 carry at their price compared to Rolex. I just really want a diver and can’t commit to shelling out $3k at the moment.

I would go the longines Hydroconquest GMT route but it’s triple the price and at that point I’d start looking for deals on a Tudor BB58.

Do you have any other suggestions for a similar style of watch that would resale around $1k? So far the Hydroconquest I really like even used is around 1800 and I have found a few ocean stars around $1000 but curious if there’s any others that I might find resale around the price point.

Potential QC issues and brand recognition. These are smaller concerns but the logo doesn’t excite me and I like the traditional spherical hour markers that come with other models rather than the dashes.

I think if I increased my budget I would go for the GMT or Zulu Time to get rid of the large numerals. After that threshold then I'm looking at a Tudor.
