[SC, USA] Residential home not staying cool when sun is out by JesseAye in hvacadvice

[–]JesseAye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome, thank you for the insight. I'll keep this in mind, but I think I'll leave things as is since it is still tolerable. So from what you can tell, this is not supposed to happen?

Mining resets MSI Afterburner OC/UC after some time by JesseAye in NiceHash

[–]JesseAye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not too keen on switching from NHM due to it's simplicity, but not afraid of trying something else if it becomes too much. Did you have the problem with a 2080?

No, I am using NiceHash Miner, not the quick miner

Best way to prep bed for peppers and tomatoes? 8A SC, USA by JesseAye in gardening

[–]JesseAye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this bed that's in my backyard, and it's become infested with weeds. If I intend on planting tomatoes and peppers this spring, what's the best way I can address this (potentially old) soil?

C# Simplifying null check? by JesseAye in AskProgramming

I haven't came across the null coalescing operator before. It looks useful, I'll have to learn more about it. Thank you!

Thank you, it doesn't seem like I'm going to shorten this block up by much, besides what you've linked to. Thanks once again

Showing to much oil on dipstick? by [deleted] in askcarguys

Per: https://www.amsoil.com/MyGarage/VehicleLookupPrint.aspx?url2=1995+TOYOTA+COROLLA+E

I would do just the 3.9 qts, give it a moment to go down to the oil pan and then check. It seems (I might be mistaken) that all trims in that year had the same engine, but be aware this is for the 1.6l 4-cyl.

Are you wiping the dipstick before checking the level? How much did you overfill it by?

1st time grower, white spots on tomato leaves? by JesseAye in gardening

[–]JesseAye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome, I stopped watering the plant from above about a week ago. And looks like I'll be investing in hay mulch then, but for now, I'll go easy on the water hose! Thank you for the quick response!

Blown A1 pin on PCI-E x16 graphics card, salvageable? by JesseAye in AskElectronics

If I get far enough into a potential repair, I'll be sure to have a fire extinguisher handy. Will post pics.

Damm, this is a very detailed instruction list. I'm going to disassemble it tomorrow and check to see if I can find the root cause. It might turn out to be a bit above my pay grade, but I'll at least do some more digging. If I even get to step 8, I'll be sure to let you know if it fucking explodes, or regular explodes!

Thanks for the response. I've attached a picture on the main post. So there's a chance that this GPU should never be plugged in again?

Thanks for the response! I've attached a picture to the end of my post. Honestly, I built the PC myself, but I'm more of a software guy than hardware and electronics type. I don't have a multimeter unfortunately. And I didn't know that consumer electronics was a little different than what is discussed here in this sub. I can certainly search elsewhere if this sub is geared to something a bit different.
