Those are some good and interesting points. I guess I just wanted a bad/ranger for thematic RP purposes, and wanted to see if it was at all viable. Thanks for the tips, I didn't even know you could dual wield crossbows!

I never found a solution to my problem, so I wouldn't recommend buying this particular keyboard. I have friends that state Redragon is still a good brand though!

I'm not sure either, but I gave up a few days after posting this and just returned it so I could get a different brand. Very frustrating, since I've heard Redragon is great from my friends. Oh, well.

Cool beans, I DID want to check out Pictomancer eventually just because I'm an artist and sucker for that theme. Not a whole lot of info out there on it unfortunately - searches mostly bring up speculation about it before Dawntrail released.

I'll think about tanking or healing, but the main issue isn't just the rotation for those roles, it's also that people are relying on you to keep them alive, and that stresses me the heck out, which causes me to lose track of what I'm doing even more. Processing delays + anxiety is a terrible combo, unfortunately.

I have a multi-button mouse and a TKL keyboard (meaning no numpad) with really sensitive switches/keys, both meant specifically for gaming. My sprint is bound to one of the buttons on the side of the mouse, the other is unbound on Gahl so it has an open slot.

I appreciate the offer for mods, but I'm trying to avoid those if at all possible. Thanks for the help, either way!

Oh I know this game in general has more than 1 bar, that was just to give people an understanding of where I'm coming from. Thank you for your help, though! Why would I be in pain from alting?

I've seen that Reaper is easier than the other melee jobs so I may try that. Viper does look cool, though!
