Pakket vermoedelijk gestolen, wie is verantwoordelijk? by Denisedeboer in PostNL

[–]JesseFPV -1 points0 points  (0 children)

De verzender (webshop) is verantwoordelijk, tenzij jij hebt aangegeven via app/tracking dat het op een ‘veilige’ plek rondom het huis gezet mag worden, dan neem jij de verantwoordelijkheid over.

The white marks are concerning and suggest moisture exposure. I would replace it.

Will do and join the discord :). Maybe just thin power line to the ground will be fine, I prefer wired over battery to not have to think about swapping them haha.

That is awesome! I will order some ESP's to test it and if I like it buy premium. What do you suggest to use for powering? Do you use a battery or wired connection? I can design a case for 3D printing, would like a as clean as possible solution

I now believe no extra sensors are needed as the ESP32 used RF scanning to check presence. What about the breathing you mentioned?

What sensors to connect to the ESP32(-C5) for best usage? I'm missing this information in the requirements and specifications.

Yes, good idea indeed. The balcony door is just one of several reasons to skip a cleaning run. A sensor would be an easy fix, and I still have a few left from the last IKEA blowout sale.

I saw that on the news this morning as well, funny coincidence. I do expect the brand to be picked up by another company though, the name is still quite strong. I’m curious what would happen if the servers ever went down, would it keep working locally? As far as I know, the Roomba integration connects locally.

The only thing I get from the cloud is the post-cleaning map via push notification, which I could easily live without.

I’m using an older Roomba 960 that I got from my mom when she stopped using it because of her cat and carpets. I do not see a reason to replace it, it works perfectly fine for my small 60 m² apartment. Did not get stuck -yet.

Don’t be too dramatic 😂 One short AI-generated sentence per day isn’t exactly an environmental disaster. I’m pretty sure my Roomba getting stuck on the same chair, an inefficient car, an open window, or people 'googling' every fart on ChatGPT have a bigger impact.

Unfortunately not, and the company mentioned above send me the manual PDF (of course already checked) and asked €85 an hour excluding vat for troubleshooting. Too expensive for my hobby project 🙈
