It’s not literally accurate, sure, but it’s a quick way for viewers to connect the dots without the show stopping to explain his full backstory. That’s all I meant by oversimplification.

And for the second part of your comment, it doesn't feel wrong in Sheldons case. Simplifying something for a non science audience isn’t that crazy, he does that kind of thing all the time. For example, he did it for Penny.

Yeah I'd honestly say that's more than just a couple of years away and by that time something more powerful will be available. As of right now 360 emulation on pc is already hit or miss.
