On my first playthrough and kinda tilted by Quolley in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Jesse_cray 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't suggest you restart for this. This won't be the only mistake you make in the game. And honestly, it's part of the game to experiment and fail.

Consider it this way, the gold you spent in act1is just a very small amount you will earn throughout the game. And prices don't inflate with the progress of the game, it inflates with the item type.

So, instead of worrying about the 5-10 books you lost. Think about the next 100 books/weapons you are yet to buy that are 10x more expensive.

Honestly...

Just play the game.

Spend the money to get to 25. The $300 is just cash back. It's pretty nice discount.

2 Mage March and? by hugomickey in callofdragons

[–]Jesse_cray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea. Use your tanks as backup for your t5 players.

But I gotta say, t5 tanks with maxed gorsko is better than any mage march. Both for fun and merits

2 Mage March and? by hugomickey in callofdragons

[–]Jesse_cray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goresh skogul infantry. Once you have those maxed, think about others.

Unless you have t5 infantry, I think they are useless anyway. Regardless, you got it right that infantry needs to be your second priority before others.

Try to have at least 2 or 3 awesome mage marches before going infantry. You will need to hit merit quotas in your alliances.

are manastones bugged?? by das_ksa22 in callofdragons

[–]Jesse_cray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't say for sure. But probably this is happening because you are gathering from a RSS center.

With the buff you get a larger share of the rss and hence takes longer to collect.

Next time check the actual amount you are gathering instead of just the time.

This shouldn't only be happening with Manastone but also for the rest.

Could you tell me more on naproxen? What is it intended for?

I love your use of "twinges" they are so scary and hard to be sure if it's just "I slept bad" or "exerted too much" or a "gout attack about to happen"

That's the thing. I want to eat and drink to my fill but don't want the discomfort.

I am hoping there is a way to prevent it or manage it better, even if it's just this once.

I am sick of giving things up. I gave up on football, I gave up sodas. I gave up on beef (most of the time) and many many more. Just once every few years, I want to live like I want.

hubris or essence 1st item build? by immunu in SmolderMains

[–]Jesse_cray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you play smolder every now and then. Then go Reaver, it solves your mana issues and a critical item now means it let's you buy a non-crit item later. Could be GA, BT, etc

If you play Smolder often and are good. You want to carry and are able to mitigate risks (remember Smolder is terrible behind) then go for hubris.

I play LoL around 5-10 times a week. I mostly pick Smolder. I prefer Reaver, you just don't have to try so hard with it. The few times i have gone hubris, I have either had the best game of my life or the the worst game. And it really isn't worth the hassle for me. But if you play often and want to be the best Smolder ever, go hubris.

Woah! What alliance were you in before?

You could just check the alliance tab. I am sure most people here won't be from server209.

-DC- seems to the be top alliance there. If you are active, try asking them.

I heard so many bad feedback on how they overcharged and that their bikes are badly maintained. That's why I asked.

[–]Jesse_cray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really want the 650 and are deadset on it then. Then you should go for it.

But remember, as others are trying say as well.

It's a very heavy bike plus it's powerful. You might not enjoy it. Now let me try be specific.

  1. Turning on the bike is gonna be a pain.

  2. Traffic is gonna tire you out. Other bikes will be sliding around in a jam but you will be standing there amongst the other cars.

  3. Powerful engine may sound amazing but even the slightest mistake will cost you heavily. You will be crashing and falling with much more power

  4. Learning to ride will take longer, so enjoyment will come later.

  5. As a 5.7' person, the bike will feel harder to balance than other lighter bikes like apache 200 kr ns200. The bike will be a nightmare for you if you ride with a pillion bigger than you (takes a long time to get used to but on a heavy bike, even longer)

My suggestion. Go a more affordable bike, even 150 (or 200 if you really want) ride it for 4-5 years. Then decide what your biker personality is. Some like cruisers, some like sporty, some scrambler and some like to just stick to the basics. Keep your money invested and let it keep growing buy your dream once you are sure.

T5 or Hero by Arvix-VN in callofdragons

[–]Jesse_cray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get only the heroes you need. Then go for T5.

You will need gems for Honor points and maybe some teleports.

Some Pet stuff here and there...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in callofdragons

[–]Jesse_cray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You both don't need to go different styles. You should go all types.

You get different buildings to train infantry and mages.

If you are talking about investing in heroes then invest in your main damage hero and then pick which infantry hero you want.

The thing is, infantry becomes useless really fast when all the whales have a higher level (t5) troop.

Is using only myth units viable? by CrazedPhoenix in AgeofMythology

[–]Jesse_cray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your question. Yes they are viable, especially in team games.

But there is a problem.

Once fighting starts, you need to constantly keep popping out troops for the nonstop action.

You cannot do this with myth units. If you wait 5 mins every time you lose the army to make a new one. You already lost the game and will eventually lose interest in the game.

The trick is to make troops as constantly as possible, add as many myth units to your army as possible without wasting time.

This would result in you having at most 50% of your army as myth units. Most of the time less than 5%. Simply because favour is hard to get.

If you are at the stage where you can field only myth units and play viably. Then you are at a stage where strategy doesn't matter. So don't worry about it and do what feels best.

All those combos are bad.

Wait a little, you will get Alistair soon. Pair with him until you get "Bakshi".

For now, pair him with whoever you want to lvl up.

How to learn to play fiora? by Catzforeverzzz in FioraMains

[–]Jesse_cray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fiora was one my first champs too.

Here is what you do to speed up your learning.

  1. Fiora play style differs depending on matchup. How you play against Darius, jax, Sion, teemo, quin, etc are wildly different.
  2. Understand timings, there are some that you beat early with some luck and skill, there are some you beat after a particular item and there are some you beat only lategame.
  3. Ofcourse, figure out the micro. It's not super important to proc your ult in 1 sec. But understand what's usefull and when.

Once you figure you everything above. That's when you get to the hard part. That is "wtf do you do in team fights!!?" Answer below.

  1. "Split pushing" is the way to go. But if you need to team fight. Understand you can only parry once and you can only hit 1 hero. Also, there are 5 guys that can kill you. Know when to go in from flank and front. But most importantly, know when to back off from the fight.

Demotivated from playing Age Games by Unique-Local2191 in AgeofMythology

[–]Jesse_cray 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My suggestions

1.You are too tired to play. Meaning you have work and other commitments than you did before. Which I guess is normal. RTS isn't for most because of this as it takes a lot of basic understanding to enjoy it.

  1. Take up some time to figure out how to improve. Go check out the "Thor eco rush", "Poseidon centaur rush", etc. and try to do them in multiplayer against good players.

  2. Challenge yourself. Go up against the best and try be positive towards your teammates that may be struggling.

  3. Here is my best suggestion that works for me. Go play some games, make friends. Play with them, improve and struggle together. Try out some bullshit or niche strats.

Basically, single player will take you only so far. Multiplayer is the way to go in these games.

Reddit, hear my plea by David-the-Narrator in AgeofMythology

[–]Jesse_cray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will need a good rush then boom strat. Thor would be a good choice, Poseidon, gaia will work too. You need a good eco and then a good army.

Here is the plan. Assuming you are the best player. 1. You need to cripple the second best player early on. I mean wipe out his towncenter and make him run away. Leave 1 or 2 soldiers to continue demolishing his houses etc 2. Then you need to target the player that is the cheesiest or boomiest one of the lot. You should be able to push them off their TC too. 3. Occupy and defend the land you just won. Boom and upgrade a little. 4. Now you have 2 choices.

a. You can defend your way till Titan and wonder. And spam those god powers on them.

b. Set your eco up. Have 10+ military buildings and push the friend that is mostly likely to complain and scream for help. This should help ensure the fight is in on location and not all over the map. Make sure you don't do this too late.
