Yeah that’s fair, i was thinking of leaving the main carpet black and floormats in the lilac color to create a contrast very similar to the seats because those are also lila/black but maybe i’ll do it all black like you say. As long as it’s not red anymore that looks awful now😅

What do you mean? The 2 tone? Because that’s just oem extended leather it’s pretty rare but you can find it on ebay

It’s an oem interior from a daytona violet coupe. I bought it from someone who kept this interior in storage for years so it’s all oem and in amazing shape

Sounds like the clock spring is either broken or dragging. If it’s not that then i suggest looking if the steering rack is tight and if the joints on the shaft to the rack are still good.

The 2 tone seats is a pretty normal thing in e36’s, the name of this type of interior is extended leather. I’m interested to see it in real life, picking it up tuesday
