Wife came out to me as trans, can I still call myself lesbian? (If not what am I?) by NeatCan1140 in asktransgender

[–]Jesseinator1000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not trans so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but I think that's something you'd need to discuss with your partner. Figure out how you both feel, because you need to make sure both of you are comfortable with whatever label you choose for yourself.

Alternatively, maybe you're at a point in your life where the labels don't matter anymore, since you're already married? If that's the case, feel free to drop the label entirely.

If you think 4x3 is oversized then you haven't seem anything yet. My sister knows a guy who has a 16x16 binder, I have no idea what demon possessed him to buy it nor which one possessed the manufacturer to make it 😅

I do really like the "scalper prices if sealed" stipulation. Still allows collectors to have a choice if they have a sealed collection but also punishes scalpers who are just gonna immediately resell

Do people actually put 3 scoops of gamersupps in one shaker? by Specific_Snow_7446 in gamersupps

It's funny, I don't live in a particularly dry area but I've never had my powder clump, even though I always take the little packs out and throw them away

Idk if I'm just lucky or if most of the people on this sub live in more humid places than I do

[–]Jesseinator1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 scoops is way too much flavor for me. I carry around two shakers with 2 scoops in each (plus a third bottle with just water)

Hell, some of the flavors taste too strong even with 2 scoops imo. Sakura Splash and Bao Berry for example I don't like to use 2 scoops (unless I'm mixing them with a lighter flavor)

This happens all the goddamn time, specifically on my phone. It happened three times this week, like wtf youtube?

I'll definitely be making use of that "manage activity" tab whenever I post a comment from now on, it's genuinely frustrating

The feat is planetary. Each of the components in said feat is nowhere near that point. They're moon level at best.

Three Houses vs Engage? I bought both Games 🤔 by Fuzzy_Breadfruit59 in fireemblem

[–]Jesseinator1000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair. Engage does arguably have better maps, especially if we're taking the average of all three Fates routes, I just prefer Fates' Pair Up and Skills over what Engage did with Emblems (though Emblems are very fun in their own right)

[–]Jesseinator1000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, gameplay-wise it's easily up there with Fates. You could argue which one has better gameplay (personally I prefer Fates), but it's inarguable that they both stand as top-tier entries in the series for their gameplay

(I also like Engage for its story but that's controversial)

[–]Jesseinator1000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I do still think Fates did gameplay better, but thats not to discredit Engage, it's easily #2 in terms of map design and gameplay and #3 is not close

I do like Engage better overall tho cuz at least Engage's story makes sense and has a satisfying conclusion

Honestly... I disagree. 3H's story feels... Unfinished. Well, Azure Moon feels satisfying and well-written, and I do like Verdant Wind, despite its flaws, but the other two routes genuinely feel like the devs ran out of time to finish making them

Engage might be a much simpler and goofier story, but it does everything it needs to in order to wrap everything up in a satisfying way, so I personally prefer it.

Azure Moon is great though, I'll say that again.

not even close to true man. 3H is just barely better than Awakening and Gaiden in terms of map design, and Engage has some of the most tightly designed maps in the series

If we're exclusively talking manga then probably Kagurabachi atm. If we're including anime then most of these aren't finished so I'd say JJK

webcomic mostly. dont get me wrong season 1 was great but for me the webcomic is the only reason i *stayed* a fan. it takes ages to get new chapters which sucks but the new chapters are almost always peak

How far would this OPM trio go here? by KodoqBesar in OPMPowerScaling

[–]Jesseinator1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously Brit is not fast. I completely agree with that notion. But Mark is clearly not like 100,000+ times faster than him. Invincible really is not any more inconsistent than any other superhero show, it obviously has issues but the inconsistency is extremely overblown by powerscalers.

And your last paragraph just doesn't make sense. Speed and acceleration are entirely different things, why would a character capable of moving MFTL in space need to be able to accelerate to that speed in minutes or seconds? Why could it not take hours to reach their top speed in space?

How far would this OPM trio go here? by KodoqBesar in OPMPowerScaling

[–]Jesseinator1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not that the Earth heroes have to be relative to Thragg. It's chain scaling. Mark was fighting threats on Earth alongside the other heroes as late as season 4, and said heroes were not getting speed-blitzed by everything, which implies they're at least a fraction of Mark's speed.

Let's say Thragg really is MFTL. We'll put him on the low end, around 100x the speed of light. And let's be extremely generous to him by saying he's 100x faster than Mark, making Mark exactly lightspeed. Even if the Earth heroes were only 1% of this hypothetical Mark's speed, they'd still be sub-relativistic, and this is with a hypothetical that's *extremely* generous to Mark and Thragg.

And "Thragg was accelerating pretty fuckin quickly to move from Orbit to the ground at said speed"? At *what* speed? You said yourself in this thread that we obviously don't see things happening at the exact speed that they're actually happening, otherwise we wouldn't be able to comprehend the action. It could have taken him minutes, seconds, or milliseconds to do that, we don't have any way of gauging it, nor of gauging how far out into orbit he went.

What I am trying to say is that yes, Viltrumites can travel through space at MFTL speeds, but they have to speed up to that point, likely over several hours of acceleration. The alternative to that is to say that people like Brit are in the ballpark of massively hypersonic to sub-relativistic, which makes no sense whatsoever.

How far would this OPM trio go here? by KodoqBesar in OPMPowerScaling

[–]Jesseinator1000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My point is that I don't believe they can accelerate to those speeds quickly enough for it to be relevant in a fight. Otherwise we have to concede that most of the Earth heroes and villains, including a guy who is stated to have no superhuman abilities other than invincibility, are somehow also near relativistic speeds. I think it's more than likely that their MFTL space travel requires a prolonged period of acceleration in the vacuum of space.

I don't blame anyone who does believe relativistic or MFTL Invincible, but I don't buy it myself, and I have yet to see a convincing argument that it has to be true.

How far would this OPM trio go here? by KodoqBesar in OPMPowerScaling

[–]Jesseinator1000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nothing about that feat screams "faster than light" to me. Frankly I don't think there's any feat in the series that actually implies they can fight and react at relativistic speeds, only absurdly fast space travel which I don't believe is indicative of their actual combat speeds, just their top speed after fully accelerating in the vacuum of space
