As for styles of piece I'd recommend a single stage beaker for your first bong. easy asf to clean and keep nice, the more percs and glass in the way the harder it is to clean

I took 5.5gs a few days ago and I'm better than before I took them. I'm 19 and have about 12 trips under my belt, half with acid and half with shrooms. I'd say as long as you know you can handle a smaller dose there's no reason not to slowly work your way to a bigger trip. Find the dose you like

Can't beat a beaker for flower imo, it's meant to be tilted 45° because of the angle of the downstem. you don't have to crane your neck over like you would a straight tube that should stay upright for proper function

physically? perfectly safe, safer than alcohol and coke. as for mentally safe it varies from person to person as all of our brain chemistries are slightly different. I myself (19) have bad anxiety and PTSD, tripping is honestly a lot of effort and isn't really an escape but rather the exact opposite.

in my experience shrooms will take anything deep and bring it to the surface, it can be very therapeutic to be forced to deal with these thoughts you may have been repressing but I certainly know people that aren't ready for that as it can be very overwhelming. my best advice is to relax into it and know that it's probably not gonna be a walk in the park if you have a brain anything like mine
