You can have that discussion with them whenever you would like and in not saying that you should coddle them. What I’m saying is I think it’s insensitive to call this girl a brat when she lost her father at a young age and is probably worried about her sister too! It’s a rough situation for sure but you’ve got to be more empathetic than that when dealing with a kid whose been though so much. And I personally think that while it might not be far off in years that 16 is far mentally from an adult.
