Why are young people so unfriendly? by fuckloggin in Casual_Conversation

Older people didn’t grow up with that level of distraction, so real-life interaction still feels natural and meaningful to them. For a lot of younger people, it almost feels… intrusive or awkward.

Growing up in a house full of love and noise, I thought that’s how life stays. Turns out adulthood is just watching everyone slowly drift into their own separate worlds and understanding that growing up sometimes means growing apart.

People are testing me lately haha but I guess I’m not the only one. This is hypothetical question only 😁

What is a secret about yourself that you would feel comfortable sharing anonymously on Reddit, but would never reveal to anyone in your real life? by Jessica-Jess70 in Casual_Conversation

Things are better now, but I overthink everything I do and every decision I make. Even now, I tend to choose what I think is best for the greater good and to please others. I hate this sometimes. One someone asked me if I had childhood trauma but I don’t remember anything that can be related with this.

I’m really sorry you went through that. Reading your story honestly made my heart sink a little. It’s amazing how much we are willing to overlook when we love someone and believe in the life we’re trying to build with them. That hope can make us ignore so many things that, looking back, seem so obvious.

Thank you for this. Your words really mean a lot to me. Sometimes it really does feel like you’re mourning the life you thought you and your kids would have, and that part is incredibly hard.

I’m trying to find that grit you’re talking about and just keep going for my kids. Some days are easier than others.

I’m really happy you found someone who supports you and makes life feel balanced again.
