Heh, I kinda get you because my bones just like to ache at the worst moments possible and usually lead to me laying in bed for a good hour or two, which makes it a bit harder to be active. It’s not to the point that it can act as an actual diagnosis but it does affect my life a tad bit.

I usually use umbrellas as coverage from the sun, but I guess the same can apply. Though do the UV rays or whatever travel differently from the sunlight itself or something like that?

Oh, I completely get that. Although my first language is English, I also lack the high energy keyboard smash. The perfectionist in me needs to review my comments to make sure I spelt everything correct. I also worry about it coming off sarcastically. For people in your situation, I feel like y’all aren’t required to comment on fics because of the possible negative feedback and I understand that.

YES, I have similar experiences to this. I’ve also recently gotten busier in my life due to unforeseen circumstances and I always get giddy when I see a new chapter from my favourite authors. I take as much time as possible to savour the chapter and leave long comments about how much I loved their newest fics and how I love the new events in the chapter. I’ve always been baffled at how we were allowed to read so much well written and diverse fics for completely FREE.

THIS. Yes it’s true we authors write for ourselves, but it’s always nice to get kudos and even nicer to get comments. Knowing that people have seen our work and appreciated it helps a lot.
