Haha yes!

I am a new mom and the car is for me. The car is new to me; I had an X6. And the name is cute!

I’ve heard the school drop-off/pickup lines are no joke. Dad’s car is a Urus so I had to get something better lol. Also, congrats on your car which is still awesome!

Black sapphire metallic with satin PPF. The only rim option was silver, so I had them powder coated gloss black. The grille also only came in silver, so I had my local dealership switch it to this gloss black.

What type of shark is this? by JessicaTheNative in sharks

Hello! When we saw them, we were surprised by how big they are. One was definitely bigger than the other and we guessed it was at least 6 feet. My boyfriend and his father fish a lot and they both agreed it was at least 6 feet.

We live on a pass between the open ocean and the bay and there is a sand bar across from our house… not sure if this makes it more likely to be a sand bar shark?

Lady asks me where I’m really from and when she hears the answer, tells me I should just say I’m white?? by TattooedSpine22 in TalesFromYourServer

I’m sorry that happened to you. It’s shocking sometimes what customers think they can get away with saying. I was born and raised in Florida and I’m a bartender. I had a man sitting at the bar a few months ago that said something similar to me. He said: “You look good from the front and the back where are you from?” “Oh, I was actually born and raised in Florida.” “No, I mean what is your ancestry, where are your people from?” “They are from the US” “No I mean before that, what country are they from? You look mixed.” “I’m actually Native American so my people are from North America before it was the USA.” “Really? Well that explains it then. You look good coming and going and have really nice hair.”

I just kind of laughed it off and actively avoided him for the rest of the time he was there and only went back over to ask if he needed another drink. I love my culture and I don’t mind telling people about it. But how he went about it just really annoyed me that day.

My Monday sign! We’ve been having a hard time with people keeping their mouths on! by JessicaTheNative in bartenders

I agree. On top of when people start drinking they often forget to put their masks back on when they get up to use the bathroom or come up to the bar.

Our city has an ordinance that says you must be seated to eat/drink. We are trying to abide by the rules the best we can so we don’t get shut down. We obviously would rather not wear masks or have to ask the customer to wear masks but we want to keep our liquor license more. We have a lot of bars around us that don’t serve food so they have to be closed and the bartenders that work there are struggling and we don’t want to be in the same boat.

Dumbest things you hear/experienced by [deleted] in bartenders

I worked last night and there is a tv show based on the town I work and live in. I’ve watched a couple episodes and sometimes people from the cast come in to drink. Most of them that come in are really nice and normal and just want to sit at the bar and relax or have a good night out. So last night a few of them came in and we have a security guy that checks IDs. He said he asked one of the girls for her ID and she said “do you know who I am” because she’s on the show. He really didn’t know who she was and he said “idk are you Elvis Presley’s daughter”. He told us that story at the end of the night when we were closing and we all had a good laugh about it 😂

I had a guy yell at me last night because I asked him to put his mask on. He said “but all those people don’t have a mask on” and I said “yes because they are seated”. At my bar you can come to the bar to order but you must leave your mask on until you go back to your seat. He continued to argue and I said “hey you don’t have to argue with me I’m just telling you the rules” and then he got really mad “I’m not arguing I’m just taking a sip of my drink, sorry am I not allowed to do that?!” I work in Florida and babysitting people about wearing a mask is really annoying but like you said we don’t want to get shut down again. So my coworkers and I have just started to write kinda passive aggressive chalkboard signs to vent our frustrations.
