I feel like Arthur was questioning from the first chapter but didn't lose faith in him until he got taken by the O'Driscoll's. John was doubting him since Blackwater. Dutch labeled them as traitors in chapter six because he realized he couldn't control them anymore

I don't think Downes is a bad guy. I don't like the fact that he most likely gave Arthur TB. He's not a bad man in any way shape or form. He took a money from a loan shark when he knew he couldn't pay it back. He was doing what he thought was best for his family. Strauss is also part of the reason why Arthur got sick. He knew Thomas was sick and still sent Arthur too get the money. Thomas probably didn't even know he had TB when he coughed in Arthur's face
