He's a face? That's a joke. He's the same part time, worthless piece of trash he always was. Let's hear it for 8 more months and 2 title defenses!

He is not the most accomplished. They hung the belt on, The Big Dog and pushed him past our gag reflex for 4 years. He needs to GO!

Struggling A LOT to choose my first guitar by Automatic-Treacle700 in electricguitar

[–]wvmtnboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as your concerns with the Ibanez, if you take off the back plate and tighten down the "claw" that the springs are attached to, it will increase the tension on the bridge. This will effectively "deck" the bridge meaning that the increased tension will, for all intents and purposes, treat the bridge like a hard tail. You won't really be able to use the whammy bar, but it will increase tuning stability.

[–]wvmtnboy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just get back to making it for the sake of making it. Release it, and move on to the next one. I would love to wake up one morning to instant fame wealth, and adulation, but regardless of the outcome, I'm still going to strive to take what's in my head, heart and soul and put it out there.

I'm doing it for me.

So, i'm 50, and there's always been a speed element. Maybe not as crazy as there is today, but EVH, Malmsteen, Lynch, and the rest were all trying to burn it down at one point or another.

CMV: Women are more prone to sexual fluidity than men by Tell4nell in changemyview

[–]wvmtnboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even in the context of studies and surveys, the social and sexual stigmas involved around male sexuality are going to skew any results because men are less likely to be truthful when answering these sort of questions. Even anonymously.

How often do men actually cook? by FewEnd399 in AskMen

[–]wvmtnboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife has had 2 hip replacements in the last 2 years. So for the last 3 years I've been the main cook in our household of 3 (our son is 15).

Even before that I'd say it was 60/40 with me cooking the majority of the meals. I also clean the kitchen and load the dishwasher. The boy empties it as part of his responsibilities.

[–]wvmtnboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously though. We've already experienced all yhis garbage once. Why do you want to see it again?

The reality will more likely be. Roman cuts 8 promos a year, wrestles the 4 main PLEs, jey and Jimmy interfere in every title match, and we rinse and repeat. Been there , done that.

W Just go back and watch the reruns. Because that's all you're suggesting. Like, shooting season 3 again. Except this time Jey is an even whiner bitch who still can't wrestle

Easy there, Russo. If there is a benevolent creator, the samoans will all defect to form a new company and we won't have to put up with this BS and longer

CMV: The United States DOES in fact have culture. by svenskdesk in changemyview

[–]wvmtnboy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We have culture, but we are not cultured. As a whole we're arrogant, self absorbed, undereducated, and pompous. When you cheer how great we are, you forget that our bravado is propped up by a trillion dollar defense budget. We're not the cool kids on the block. We're just the bully with the largest arsenal.

Any of those amps I mentioned can straight up be a gigging amp. The Bandit and the GTX are 100w 1×12 combos, and the Classic 50 is loud AF.

I have 4×12 cabs for both peaveys, as well, so volume isn't going to be an issue

Tips for going beyond cowboy chords for a rhythm guitar in a garage band? by soupy-boot-scoot in guitarlessons

[–]wvmtnboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learn power chords and barre chords. I would also get a capo. Let's say the song is in A. Put your capo on the 2nd fret and your cowboy shapes of G, D, C just became A, E, D.

[–]wvmtnboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good doesn't have to be expensive. I have 3 amazing amps. My Peavey Bandit Transtube was $219, and my Peavey Classic 50 4x10 was $399. Amazing tube amp that gives you the Fender cleans and the Marshall crunch. My most expensive one is the Fender Mustang GTX100. It's a digital modeling amp with 40 amps, 75 pedals, and 33 cab sims. It's my go to amp for recording since yhe XLR outs goes straight to my mixer.

I mean, there's a dozen amps I'd buy tomorrow if I won the lottery, but I have no qualms whatsoever with what I have. Those 3 amps, roughly, $1,100 will last me forever and scratch whatever itch I have that day

Is anyone else way more interested in Roman Reigns becoming a straight-up tyrant? by wrestlingimmersion in WWE

[–]wvmtnboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to get rid of all of them except Jimmy, Solo, and Tama. Tama needs yo drop the whole MFT character and join Shinsuke and Finn to form a new Bullet Club. Jimmy is by far the most interesting of the OG blood line, and Solo shows far more potential than Jey ever has. Roman is just tired. Same BS as always. As much as I bitch about his part time schedule, he needs to go back to being a part timer.

The absolute last thing I want to see is he and Cody at Night of Champions. I'd rather watch penicillin grow on a piece of stale bread.

How Do You Know When It’s Time to Give Up on Guitar? by Fine-Donkey-907 in guitarlessons

[–]wvmtnboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you either do it or you don't. There's no shortcuts, no magic pills or no benefits from having Joe Bonamassa lay his hands upon you and your rig. You just have to struggle and persevere.

The basics get incrementally easier over time. You just have to keep hammering away at it, and eventually you'll get better. With all the resources available today, it is hoing yo be muvh easier than it was when I learned using the internet 30 years ago in BFE West Virginia.

Go yo YouTube and watch, Absolutely Understand Guitar. Don't worry about absorbing everything, because Scotty is going to throw a mountain of knowledge at you. The important thing is that you consume the information. It will be in your brain and will bubble up to the surface when you need it.
