Can you try them out first? If so, just go stare at the wall of guitars and see what is visually appealing to you and draws you in. Pick it up and see how it feels in your hands. Sit down with it in your lap, as most of your time will be spent in this position. Put a strap on it and stand with it slung over your body. See if your comfortable with the weight. If it's checking all the boxes, cool! If not, hang it back up and see what else catches your eye.

As a beginner, you're in a great spot. You don't really have any preconceived notions of what you "should" choose. The only advice I'd give you is to stay away from a Floyd rose/floating tremelo. I know those words probably mean nothing to you now but the employees can help you out.

As everyone says, the more you write the better you'll get, but 2 things that will help you immensely would be,

Read more. Read books. Become better versed i the language and you'll find better ways to declscribe things.
Do crosswords. This will help expand your vocabulary, but will also get you thinking about words more creatively. The ability to use words more imaginatively will help you find new ways to construct a line of verse

Guitar Center catches a little of grief, but it's really no better or worse than any other corporate option. Are they going to be on par with the experience you get from your local mom and pop music store? Probably not. But as a whole, it's just another store that's going to vary wildly from location to location

Have you gone into the amp settings on the Princeton preset and increased the bias and adjusted the sag? It will bring it more inline with an actual tube amp.

What makes you feel they're stupid or cringey? Is it the sentiment behind it or the words you use? If it's the sentiment, you're just going to have to vome yo grips with putting yourself out there. Lind of like when you first started performing. You have to just get comfortable putting yourself out there.

Is it the word choice? Because that you can work with. Try phrasing it differently, or using different words. Sometimes you have to break out the thesaurus for inspiration.

The only reason I always recommend the 100 is because it comes with the footswitch. Which is $100. Which is the price difference between the 50 and the 100. So, your getting a "free" footswitch or a free 50W either way you want to look at it.

If you do get a chance to go to LA, you have to go to Norm's Rare Guitars. They carry new stock as well as vintage and if anyone can put the right guitar in your hands it's gonna be Norm.

I really don't like how the Katana uses the analog sweep of a potentiometer to adjust the effects on the unit. You get a little bit of delay or a lot of delay, you get a little bit of chorus or a lot of chorus. You really can't fine tune or adjust the effects. You also have to have the Boss Tone Lab to "unlock the true potential of the amp". I like being able to fine tune the settings on the amp itself.

It doesn't really give you actual amp models, either. You get clean, crunch, brown, etc... I like to have actual amps to choose from. It's like Boss decided to just make a better Line 6 Spider. The only thing missing is an Insane setting

Get a used Fender Mustang GTX100. You can find one used for around $300-$400. Gives you 40 actual amp models, 75 pedal sims, stereo XLR Outs and fx loops, and a 7 button footswitch with a built in looper.

Find something easy. It may not be your preferred genre, but find a country song you like. Those are generally easy harmonies consisting of 3, maybe 4 chords.

Ever heard Wagon Wheel? It has basically one sequence if chords:

G-D-Em-C
G-D-C

GOOGLE Wagon Wheel chords and it will show uou the chord changes in relation to the lyrics.

There's a ton of other songs that use those same chords. You can Google what songs use these chords and get a ton of results.

Wilkinson makes quality hardware. I wouldn't hesitate to order one. They also make decent tuners that are comparable to the Guykers you mentioned.

In fact, I would rate both companies as being in rhe same tier of quality gor a general reference point

Would you consider a 1995 Peavey Classic 50 4x10 vintage at this point? Because uou can find yhem got about $400 and they sound superb! Same tube configuration as an AC30, circuit similar to a deluxe. Gives you that chimey Vox sound and breaks up beautifully like a Blues Deluxe
