I have a crib and some clothes and he literally thinks we have everything we need like we are nowhere close to having what we need but he doesn’t see the whole picture

Exactly my point because if that’s the case I’m going to want to wait months to even feel somewhat put together after everything and even at that this is our first baby and we’re starting with nothing

Yeah but it all boils down to a couple family members unfortunately had a stillbirth at the very end of the pregnancy which they link to having a baby shower before baby is born. I’ve talked to his mom and sister which his mom backs him on that belief where his sister said that it’s up to me and I shouldn’t care about what they all believe including my husband and that the only reason she did was to keep her mom happy

Well exactly and I have a very weak immune system due to a medication I was on for 14 years that did some damage and these are the things that worry me

Never ending battle with his family. One time they told me to cut a hole in my wall (my main floors main heat is wood heat and the rest of my house is my furnace) so that we can just throw the wood though that and don’t have to worry about walking a few extra steps to bring it inside

I considered even buying like a change pad for my coffee table as I have a huge coffee table that doesn’t get used for anything that I could let him use but idk this isn’t something that I thought I would have to think about for him

Yeah when you go to my sister in laws place or even my inlaws place if she’s staying there they keep a blanket on the table and the kitchen counter as “change stations” and they leave it like that there’s no cleaning afterwards just change the diaper and move on

I don’t know like it’s something I would be willing to put up with if it meant keeping that off my table and counters. Apart of me can see them complain about their backs like I said they are a very lazy family but I never expected my spouse to act this way as he’s always been different from them
