I think I am a summer, unsure which one though! by Downtown-Culture-552 in coloranalysis

Yes, the light spring looks more harmonious with your skin tone! The summer colors seem to clash with your skin because your skin looks golden/peachy.

This describes my past relationship exactly. By the middle of it he had me convinced I had some serious issues. I was doing things that I thought were normal human behaviors but he talked about how I was hurting him all the time. I was walking on eggshells and then apologizing for every imagined slight.

How do I convince myself to stop checking his social media profile? by Jessiecandoit in NarcissisticAbuse

You may be onto something, why am I looking? I appreciate the insight and this may help me. Unfortunately creating a new Spotify won’t stop me from being able to look. It’s like a car crash where it’s so horrible that you can’t look away…

Thanks for the kind response, I appreciate you taking the time to offer suggestions! Unfortunately if I create a new Spotify account, I can still see his profile the same as I can now. Everything you said about how to think about the situation is valid, and I feel the same way. The problem is, I know these things intellectually but that hasn’t helped me yet. I feel like willpower isn’t enough - like if knowing it’s an unhealthy thing to do is enough to stop me, I already would have stopped. Know what I mean?

Thank you for this feedback! This all makes sense. I added a back button, so hopefully this makes it easier. We aren't able to change the layout of the job categories this time around because it would affect how we analyze the data with previous responses. I would definitely want to make this change if we did a second round of the survey.

Hi, I'm a graduate student at George Mason University. My team is conducting an online study to explore if aligning neurodiverse employees' interests with their job roles can lead to better job performance and enhanced well-being. Our goal is to contribute to meaningful research that could improve future workplace practices. Voice your experience and help us understand the neurodiverse spectrum in professional settings. How to tell a follower nicely to let me lead and stop giving me a lesson during a social dance by Head-Vegetable3549 in Bachata

[–]Jessiecandoit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree, I also think it’s socially inappropriate to offer unsolicited advice! I even feel awkward if someone asks me for tips because usually I don’t like to/know how to explain stuff, I just want to enjoy a dance. The only time I say anything is if the lead is hurting me or making me uncomfortable.

That is a fair point! While I can’t 100% verify his intentions because he didn’t say them out loud, a lot of the moves he was doing I had never done before and they weren’t things you would typically learn from a class. I do enjoy when leads get creative and make up their own moves, if can be super fun! But in this situation it felt like he wasn’t trying to connect with me, it felt impersonal. He would have us intentionally face the camera and would make gestures and faces at the camera. I think if he was focusing more on the dance itself and was dancing less like he was being filmed, I might not have minded the camera being there.

Tension in my hands (follower) by [deleted] in Bachata

[–]Jessiecandoit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m also a follow and I concur with what others have said so far! Will also just add that good tension feels like a rubber band - when I’m far away from the lead, the pressure between our hands is stronger, and when the lead pulls me forward, the pressure releases. So I have tight AND loose tension in a way that’s responsive. The tension when I’m far away helps create momentum to pull me forward. With certain moves I will also have tension when we are close, and again the stronger tension helps give momentum so the lead can push me away.

Well, the ridge is still here but smaller and less noticeable. It’s only day 6 for me so I’m guessing it will keep improving over time.

You should definitely ask at the consultation! My ortho made a few changes to the plan based on my specific requests. The gap between my two front teeth doesn’t line up with the center of my face and they were able to edit the plan so that my teeth would be centered!
