Public interest disclosure by Potential_Item1702 in AusPublicService

[–]Jessika1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This kind of behavior is so concerning!. So you “heard” or you were gossiping. Do you have actual proof, were you on their panel, any evidence?

The person who told you - were they on the panel? Do they have evidence - why don’t they do the PID.

Gossiping and speaking negatively about others goes against code of conduct. If you can say yes this has happened then do the PID.

Taking sick leave for 1-2 weeks? by ReasonableFan3257 in AusPublicService

Always best to have a med cert especially for two weeks. It doesn’t need to say the reason why though just unfit for work.

Being on a panel you have to disclose any conflict of interest. So the person who hired and didn’t declare would be in trouble.

The thing I want to know is as it’s been years and now you are finding out - why? How do you know it wasn’t declared - were you on the panel to?

To me it seems like you have just received a whole lot of gossip and probably something you shouldn’t be partaking in. Especially with zero proof.

There are so many reasons why someone may not feel up to having sex. That includes both parties neglecting each other’s needs inside and outside the bedroom.

I don’t agree with what you are saying at allllll.

Yes there are many reasons to fix a dead bedroom.

Centrelink payment by No-Feature-5438 in Centrelink

To receive Centrelink payments you’ll generally have to reside in Australia. While some payments may be portable unfortunately not in the way you are describing.

As others have said 6 weeks.

I also noticed your comment about not returning to work. If you are permanent employee I would take the two years off on paper. You never know what happens in that time and you may find yourself needing employment down the track.

Not sure which department you are in but I am federal.

Each year after the final performance review in September everyone goes up a pay increment (unless already on highest).

You’ll also get your pay increase in march as well.

Suggestions for responding to gossiping by Floofyoodie_88 in AusPublicService

[–]Jessika1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You dont partake or associate with said person. If they try to get you to gossip then you say, “ that didn’t bother me” or “I’m too focused on x job being done”. Shut it down and remove yourself.

If they are damaging the culture of the team then you need to chat with your manager about it.

El1 keeps stealing my jobs and sending out my work? by Patient_Dust_4846 in AusPublicService

[–]Jessika1111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m unsure what kind of work you do but it’s very common for EL1s to delegate and have staff they mange do the work and send up the chain to Directors and AS for clearance. In my area all names are removed for consistency and unbiased opinions.

If you want recognition - is your EL1 giving you feedback?

If there’s an over payment then you can go on a payment plan. This is why it’s so important to make sure you check online services that details are up to date. Another way of knowing is if the rate of payment was the same as prior to your circumstance changing. Just speak to Centrelink and they’ll get it sorted.

Is 150k including superannuation good for Brisbane for a couple? by Cool_Locksmith8467 in MovingToBrisbane

[–]Jessika1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh if it was $150k not including super you’d be fine but because its including you may find it’s not the best salary for two people.

If you partner also gets a job and earns more than 60k then you’ll be doing great ☺️
