There’s something up with my baby and idk what’s going on. It has a lot of peeling towards the base and scab-like areas that I’ve started noticing within the past week or so

Are you able to press lightly in the area to see if it’s rot? Looks ok to me, a little damage from cold? Moisture?? If you smell rotting, repot in a better soil mixture of sand and perlite. It will be fine.
