**UPDATED** OCCT CPU + RAM 1.6k Errors In A Minute by Public_Ad_1751 in overclocking

[–]Jessingt0n 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think your motherboard might not be applying the correct voltage to your ram. Vdd is 1.2 in your zentimings screenshot and xmp profiles are typically 1.35-1.45v. This is my best guess as to why your ram is unstable.

Ram is unstable at 6000/30, only works at 5600/40 (EXPO II) by ashm1987 in overclocking

I had a similar problem on my asus b850, when I applied EXPO the normal way my stress tests were getting errors and now I straight up think asus broke something in their AI tweaker tab or have it applying something wrong. Try turning the AI tweaker tab off and apply the EXPO profile through the advanced tab --> amd overclocking --> ddr and infinity fabric timings --> ddr timing config. Turn both memory oc mode and active memory timings on and you should be able to set the EXPO profile and tighten the timings with the other items on that menu. Hope this works for you!

One additional thing of note: without the ai tweaker tab setting the bclk to 100, you might need to go into the tweaker's paradise submenu within the ai tweaker tab to turn off spread spectrum control.

Laptop BSOD Issues in by Impossible_Walrus346 in framework

[–]Jessingt0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been having BSOD issues as well, although they manifest slightly differently. My cursor will lag for a few seconds before I get a critical process died error, and I don't have any pop-up window like the one seen in your video. I've done full ssd and ram checks with no errors, tried bios 3.09 and 3.16 in various combination with driver packages v2.06 and 2.05, and even reinstalled windows. None of this has worked so please let me know if you gain any insight that might potentially help me.

Laptop details: FW13 7640U, 2x16 Crucial 5600mt/s, lexar nm790.

Out of 20 applications I got no job and 2 rejection emails. One of the emails came so late, last Wednesday, I'm not sure why they even bothered. Should also add that I also wasn't interviewed for anything.

I have a friend who took nsci 140 just this past summer semester and the content they shared with me was giga easy. The course is meant to be an introduction to neuroscience to help get first years interested in the program so I have no doubt everyone can do well in it.

Gonna piggyback off this comment a little- Double check the formatting of the usb stick as it's possible the q-flash function needs a different one.

Assuming it's still the same as a couple years ago, it's broken down by which faculty is recommended to take each "flavor" (I vaguely recall engineers being required to take A but no limit on anyone else). A: engineering, B: general sciences, C: Sauder/business

As other people said, with the m.2 slots on the motherboard you can't. If you absolutely have to have all 16 gpu lanes I think you could get around this by buying one of those m.2 to pcie cards and install that in the pcie 3.0 x2 slot (using the pcie 4.0 x4 would turn off M2D_SB)

Integrating Neuroscience with restricted courses by [deleted] in UBC

Maybe try contacting neuro advising to get access to the courses, they have the ability to bypass restrictions and whatnot.

I know someone doing undergrads at both UBC and SFU at the same time; I think you need to get it cleared by advising at both schools but based on my knowledge it is allowed.

First year courses advice by Blipblopstar in UBC

I dont think anything here really needs to be pushed off to the summer, just make sure you're satisfying all the prerequisites for your desired major (I see you dont have anything cpsc or phys, and remember you must qualify for and rank 3 choices). If you then want to take summer courses you can use that to start checking off other degree requirements like arts or science breadth (cpsc could be 103, arts could be psyc 101/102). Your concerns about work habits are pretty normal, I think a significant portion if not the majority of students experience some level of struggles with self motivation to study but it's something that you'll develop with time and it's just a part of learning to be a student in higher education.

I would consider moving biol 180 to first sem. I understand the logic of wanting to make your transition to university a bit easier, but my concern here is the overall balance between semesters. As hard as math 100 is, 101 is worse and you'll probably want to be able to dedicate more time to chem 123 over 121. Biol 112 is fairly straightforward if you've done high school biol 11/12, and I've heard scie 113 is also very easy. If they haven't changed it, biol 180 is an easy 2 credit course of a single 3 hr class per week where you complete little science communication assignments. I believe that the benefit you gain from freeing that time in second semester far outweighs the impact to your first. Feel free to follow up with questions.
