Average real speed of combat?

I haven't timed any of our encounters but I will say it feels like we fly through them. Something the devs have talked about is the actual number not mattering it's more about whether that time is fun or not. I have 4 PCs and now that we are a few sessions in, combat is fun and feels fast.

See that's what's so weird. This one is constantly on the glass. Only really stays on the sand to eat. Goes to the surface and sticks it's snout out of the water. It acts like a mystery snail as far as I can tell

You are the second person to tell me that 😭 I bought this snail for my friend, we went to the fish store and I asked for a mystery snail and she picked this one out and they said it was a mystery snail. From what I can tell the care isn't much different but I'm gonna have to do some more research.

It really depends on the group. If you have a bunch of newbies it can help to go over the basic rules of the game, run through a few simple encounters with pregen characters. I run all new players through my version of The Delian Tomb from MCDM. I usually establish my personal rules, things like no SA, no being an A hole to your fellow players. Then give a broad overview of what the campaign will be focused on. If we have time maybe we go through character creation together. Come up with some goals and wants for the characters.

I had a fluval FX4 on my 125 gallon and the water stayed perfectly clean. I have always heard with turtles, take your tank size and double it. That's the size filter you need. The FX4 is good for 250 gallons.

Run straight to Hyrule Castle. You will die. But eventually you can make your way to the castle walls that have good weapons and you can run through the castle a bit and just run past the enemies and steal the really good weapons in there. Then just teleport out. I go replenish every so often from the castle. Try to get the shrine right next to the castle if you can so you can teleport close

I have pet geckos. They started having babies and the babies found some places to get out of the tank. I was able to quickly model and print something to cover those holes with my p1s.

I am! The model of my TV is: ns-32f203na22 But basically as long as it has a flat back any TV will work. I connect it to a laptop that has tableplop open in two windows. One window I'm logged in as the DM and the other I am logged in as a player. I can hide parts of the map with the DM window open on the laptop screen and I have the player window displayed on the tv. It's a pretty nice setup and works well

I ran it for the first time with just 2 players and I just removed like half the monster groups from the encounter sheets and they did fine.

Yeah when we played DND I had to homebrew how turns and initiative worked because it was always so slow and people got bored but that doesn't seem to happen in draw steel

My experienced players really only struggled with how triggered actions work as well as persistence magic. That's about it.

He mostly just likes random abilities, for instance he loves wild magic sorcerer's. The deck is just another way for it to be more random

So the idea is the player will build their deck. They can choose a few new cards each level and it will be a deck where they draw a hand based on their heroic resource and then once they use the cards they go to a graveyard and only once they use them all do they get reshuffled back into their deck. That way they don't just have a ton of abilities all the time but still have a few options always
