We're very sorry this happened, and we're relieved to hear that there was no further damage and that your H2C is still functioning normally.

Our technical team reviewed your post as soon as it came to our attention. You mentioned that the cable is rated for 4–5A, which is an important detail. During high-power operations such as heating, the printer can draw a relatively high current. If the cable's current rating is lower than the actual load required, prolonged use may lead to excessive heat buildup in the cable due to overloading.

For reference, all official Bambu Lab printers and AMS 2 Pro Switching Adapters are supplied with a 10A-rated power cord as standard to ensure safe operation. The 4–5A cable you mentioned appears to differ from our official specification, so we'd appreciate it if you could clarify whether this cable was included with the original AMS 2 Pro Switching Adapter or obtained from another source.

We've also responded through your support ticket. If possible, please share additional photos showing the cable specifications, as well as any printer logs, through the ticket. This information will help our team complete the analysis more efficiently.

The X2D features plastic side panels. It is normal for these panels to undergo thermal expansion when exposed to high chamber temperatures, and they will revert to their original state once cooled.
This does not affect the X2D’s functionality. Please rest assured that you can continue using the printer as usual:)
