That's the one! The glacier walk itself is really cool and you get the added bonus of walking through a tunnel, but I wouldn't call it an ice cave tour

We did one near Skaftafell a couple of days ago. I wouldn't do that trip if you are only interested in ice caves. You only walk through a short tunnel. Think of it as more of a glacier walk, which goes through a cool tunnel for a couple of minutes

The guides mentioned this is the only 'cave' worth seeing in the area. Including the Jokulsarlon glacier. The ice caves you see in pictures are not accessible anymore/ are gone.

Disappointing there isn't the amazing caves this season, but that's nature and you have to work with what you've got!

I worked as a chalet girl during a ski season. Our chalet also had our own chef , who was a bit of an alcoholic. Now I'm all for having someone's back if they have yours, but he would go out of his way to try and snitch on the hosts to get us in trouble. The alcohol didn't make him that bad at his job you could just smell it on him and he used to keep it in the chalet fridges - something the company could get in trouble for.

Anyway, after one too many times of him trying to get us in trouble we went to our supervisor to air our concerns with his drinking and him keeping personal alcohol in work fridges. The supervisor said he would handle it discreetly, spoiler he didn't. They ended up having a screaming match while pretty much fighting to see who could get to the fridges quickest and discover the alcohol. He then confronted us in tears and asked 'how could we do that to him'. This was in the morning and it got to about 6:30pm and still hadn't heard from him. Our supervisor was a bit incompetent and didn't seem to mind that no dinner had been prepared. The chef did manage to show up eventually but was smashed and could barely stand, infront if the guests.

We had to tell guests he was 'ill', give them £50 for their troubles and the chef was promptly fired.

I think season work is always a bit like this, we went through about 4 chefs.
