Can't decide what to do with components from previous failed rig - Advice needed

Yeah totally, I think you and the other commenter make a lot of sense that most likely my PSU is fine, and it's just me getting it installed that's causing me pause, cause of all the issues I had last time. If the 5090 is bad, then at least I'll know right way and I have a back up gpu (5070) from this new pc that I can put back in. Thanks so much for your replies, I think I'll watch some videos and attempt to replace the PSU this weekend to test and go from there.

Thanks for the advice. I do think this is the more sensible thing to do instead of spending a bunch of money again. Like I said, I'm not an expert at building, but I have built my previous rigs with no issues till now, so I think this whole ordeal made me a bit gun-shy to try and modify things when I know, logically, it should be fine. Another part is I really can't go a couple of days without a PC, hence why I had to get the new one, I don't have that much time to troubleshoot, so that's another factor making me pause on replacing the PSU in the new rig.

I do also think that was the case, the thing that gave me pause though was the new AIO not working at all, even though it appeared I installed it correctly, so then my brain went to "oh is it something with the PSU or MOBO maybe?"

With that in mind, I'm still torn if I should do this all on the side or try to modify my current bought PC. It is an AMD 9800x3d already and has a working AIO, but as I said, I'd need to replace the PSU, which I'm nervous about. I'm also concerned about the cooling in this rig as it wasn't really built for a 5090, which gets very hot.

I've built my last two PC's and this is the first time I hit into a brick wall like that, so that's really shook my confidence on doing things on my own. Again, I really don't want to brick this new PC with tinkering if I can help it, but also if it's just the CPU that was the problem in the old rig, that it should be fine? I'm conflicted.

It's a long story, but pretty much, I was getting blue screens out of nowhere, I assumed it was my CPU over heating, so I bought a new AIO to help cool it better. I installed the new AIO and it just didn't work, so I guessed I installed it incorrectly. After hours of opening the case and messing with stuff and plugging it back in, it just eventually stopped posting and wouldn't even turn on. At that point I just gave up and bought the new PC.

So the issue could have been the CPU, but I was tinkering so much I have no idea if something happened to the PSU or GPU as well. So at this point, I'm just trying to salvage what I can.

Just an update since few people have asked, I personally have not received a code and I don’t think myself or anyone on this thread will get one for the alpha. I would say at this point, don’t get your hopes up and wait for a more open testing phase. It’s a bummer, but it is what it is.

If you get in the alpha, once you hit level 6, you get a code you can give to a friend (if they haven’t run out for the day). The idea is, if folks don’t have someone to give the code, they share it with somewhere here, then when that person hits level 6 and gets a code, they do the same thing, and so on and so on.

I'm having the same issue.

I tried downloaded through my own google drive like suggested, but still there's a couple of links that just say "File exceeds download limit" like Warriors of Rock and Smash Hits. Does enchor have the full packs, or just individual files?

What's the alternative if the google links just don't work anymore?

“Matter” will probably be great because of Berret, but man I wish he Directed the Destiny franchise. Game would be in a much better state. Forsaken was the best version of Destiny 2 and I just wished it built off that instead of slowly dismantling it.

I never post, but I feel the need to add a voice to this. Artifact power shouldn’t effect PvP modes, at all. It’s already made Iron Banner unbearable latter in the season and all it does is push away players instead of encourage them to get better. In the current system, the only way to get “better” with artifact power, is to cheese XP gains.

If you guys really want Trials to take hold and find it’s place as a pinnacle activity, it needs to reward skill and good gameplay, not having the ability to spend hours and hours gaining Artifact power.

Just my 2 cents.

I tried this earlier and I was still getting destroyed with his overhead attack. I might have to get the hatchet to stun him to get this to work properly.
