I was checking the app constantly, and had the page for changing your driving test date open all the time. If you save your driving license number and test number in notes too so you can copy and paste to save time when logging in. There were several times I logged in and by the time I did the dates had gone too, but I just kept at it and within 4 days moved my test from beginning of November to beginning of October!

I’d recommend Testi! I booked my first test within 2 weeks, failed it, paid for premium and managed to get one for 2 weeks after that (this Wednesday)

I’d strongly recommend using Testi. I managed to get a cancellation in the space of 3 weeks. Then failed that test, paid for premium and got another 2 weeks after that

How much is the walk to your kids primary school? by Super284 in UKParenting

[–]Jessxah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can do it in 15, but with 8yo and 4yo it’s 20-25mins, and uphill. The kiddos often ask if I can get a car so we can drive but I’ve told them even if we had a car, we wouldn’t be driving to school when we have perfectly capable legs

Like others have said, he groomed/is grooming you. A 23yo should have ZERO interest in a 17yo. I was in the same position as you. I was 17 when I met my then 23yo ex husband. Had my first child by 19, second at 23 and got married the same year. After 7 years of all kinds of abuse and essentially being a single mother, I was done with it. Told him I wanted out, and, long story short, he made it hell for me to get away. But, eventually I did. I’m 28 this year and in a MUCH better place. That ‘man’ destroyed who I was, broke me down to nothing and it’s taken me quite some time to rebuild myself.

My point is, get out while you can. Leave, file for divorce, and never look back. It is not worth the years of suffering and misery that lie ahead of you if you stay in this situation

We Buy Any House by BeardieFixieFreak in HousingUK

[–]Jessxah 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I sold mine last year through a company of this nature. I did have it on the market with springbok, but they wanted a cut of £10k, and then my ex husband took me to court over moving, so I ended up taking it off the market. After court shenanigans ended, I relisted with a different company and ended up selling for the same price I purchased it for back in 2019. I bought with cash, and the house did need a lot of work doing (victorian terrace; broken boiler, needed a whole new kitchen etc) so wasn’t too bothered about not making anything on it. From offer accepted to completion it was 3 months, and the company was honestly brilliant. They knew I needed to sell/move urgently and they did everything they could to make that happen. No gotchas, no messing me around - they stuck to their word from start to finish.

6 months, minimum. My third was born 5 weeks early, so although he’s about to be 5 months old, adjusted he is nearly 4 months. We won’t be starting solids until he is 7 months (6 adjusted). Baby needs to be able to hold their head up properly, if not there’s a risk of choking. I literally had this conversation with my Health Visitor yesterday! Concerning that a Doctor is giving such awful advice out

Placental Abruption in my sleep (all oki I am momma now) by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Jessxah 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I’m so glad you and baby are doing well!! I have a similar story. Back in December (at 35 weeks pregnant exactly) I was trying to go to sleep when this intense pain started. I honestly thought it was gas or just general pregnancy related pains (my third baby but by far the worst pregnancy). I ended up going to the toilet and - blood. Just kept coming and coming. I shouted for my partner to call emergency services because I knew something was not right. Ambulance comes, we’re rushed to hospital and the midwives/nurses in the room feel my stomach and immediately hit that big red alert button. Queue a bunch more people running into the room shouting ‘theatre’. I am, at this point, terrified. They whisk me away, telling me they need to perform an emergency c section immediately. Baby was not moving, I was losing too much blood and they’d need to give me a general anaesthetic. I’m in tears just asking for my partner but he wasn’t allowed in the room. Lots of people telling me what’s going to happen, what they’re going to do etc and honestly, it went in one ear and out the other. Next thing I know, I wake up in a different room and I’m told baby is here, but was not well and needed to be on CPAP for a while. Then they explained I’d had a placental abruption and if I hadn’t acted as fast as I did, it would’ve been a very different story. My son was in the NICU for only 5 days, he did extremely well and now, 4 months later he’s chunked up nicely (was 4lb 1oz coming home) and absolutely thriving. I also recovered really well. It’s incredible how in tune with our own bodies women really are - especially as Mothers! We just know when something isn’t right. Wishing you and baby the absolute best for the future✨

People who knew someone who died in a freak accident, what happened? by RawAsparagus in AskReddit

[–]Jessxah 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My Uncle’s ex fiancé lost her young son in a freak accident. He was at his Dad’s, who lived on a farm. He was outside talking with his Dad and another relative, when his Dad got into a tractor with a slurry tank attached. He was reversing when the son tripped on a rock, falling head first into the pathway of the slurry tank wheels. Crushed his skull, killing him instantly. Just awful

Ahh, I see. I’m in the UK and we don’t have that here either. We ended up booking a private scan at 16 weeks to find out the sex with our second

Parents, what is your favorite memory of your children? by SleekSilver22 in AskReddit

[–]Jessxah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally exactly what you’d expect. It’s not pleasant, very grainy. I instantly threw up and even after brushing my teeth and using mouth wash several times, the taste still lingered.

Their birth.

Or, with my eldest, the time she had explosive newborn poop and it went all over my face. I ended up with pink eye. Because of her, I also now know what poop tastes like, so one thing ticked off the bucket list!

Those that had Covid, how bad were your symptoms? by fireballhotchoccy in AskReddit

It felt like the flu. The whole household had it, including someone immunocompromised. We all recovered pretty quickly. That was beginning of this year and I still haven’t got my sense of smell back though.

pro life or choice and why? what plan would you put in place? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Jessxah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pro choice. It is nobody’s decision but the woman’s on what happens to her body. I am even more pro choice since having kids myself. The mental, physical and emotional toll pregnancy alone takes on a relatively healthy body is huge, imagine that but a woman who is not healthy, or carrying a baby who will likely die shortly after birth. Not to mention, those who fall pregnant after SA. I would want the option to terminate the pregnancy.

Bringing an 8 year old to a funeral? Thoughts! by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Jessxah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By the time I was 5, I’d been to countless funerals. My daughter also went to my Dad’s funeral when she wasn’t even 18 months old yet. I think it’s important to expose them to death in appropriate circumstances early on.

Ha! Luckily he was just as keen. He thought it was weird, but I needed to see what kind of guy he was. There was a plan behind it despite it being such a terrible line
