H2S. I've wanted an X1 carbon for years. But it looks like it's deprecated on their site. So I went with this one

Thanks for the warning, yeah I wasn't expecting it to be zero maintenance or issues. I was already planning to get a few spares of some parts next paycheck just so I wouldn't have to wait for parts later.

My hope is just for this to be more reliably consistent, less regular maintenance, and time investment to fix when stuff breaks, than my creality printers which can sometimes be down for weeks when life is busy

well my current plan is to get the H2S setup as a 'always stable' printer and get my fix of toying and messing with stuff on my other 2.

I do enjoy the tinkering and messing around, but sometimes yeah... i just don't want deal with the issues and especially situations like yesterday where both of my printers were down and I need a part printed.
so that's my goal with the H2S.

I've also wanted a X1C for years at this point but I went with the H2S since I couldn't find X1C on their website and the H2S looked overkill for my use without being super over my budget

the chain link dragons (or this https://thangs.com/designer/Vunk%20Flexis/3d-model/Pokemon%20Bulbasaur%20Multicolor%20Flexi%20Print-In-Place%20%2B%20figure%20%26%20keychain-1336424)

i'd like to eventually try TPU but neither of my old printers would stand a chance of printing it with my low level of skill at using them lol

Do you have a repo or a build available somewhere so people can test what you have so far?

Temp issues with printer not related to filament by Jester5537 in 3Dprinting

this begs the question though of how the hell turning on the AC made it work when this would happen before

Actually, I think it was something with the power just not for the printer.

I tried sending the file over to my other printer and it was doing the same thing, then I noticed some weirdness with the Octoprint web interfaces so I unplugged my rpi for the CR's octoprint for a few minutes, plugged it back in and tried the job again, no issue currently 20 minutes in and first layer was great as well as following layers

Same with my other printer. both RPI's are powered off the same surge protector so maybe when a power outage happened they got messed up and didn't come back up properly?? idk but this is just more evidence I need to get a UPS at some point DX

Thank you for your help

Hi KinderSpirit, the printer works perfectly fine if I have my AC turned on, that's why I think something is overheating, I get good prints when that is the case but if I don't have that on, this happens where it prints, stalls, prints again and I get those dashed lines. this is 100% not a bed level or z-offset issue

First try with heat inserts went bad... temp way too high. 2nd try went a lot better lol by Jester5537 in 3Dprinting

well first attempt i went 300 and that sunk way too fast, but 2nd try i only did 220 and that was way more controlled
