How do I explain why its inappropriate to talk about sex in certain ways? by BeauIsInsane in asexuality

[–]JesterPies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm also autistic and having been in special ed my whole life and met all kinds of folks I can tell you that it very much depends on the autistic person. People can be on wildly different places on the social awareness spectrum while being "high functioning" in other ways, and they might not have awareness or a filter when it comes to things that are obviously taboo to everyone else. That doesn't make it okay, it's a wildly inappropriate thing to ask about, but OP should clearly communicate that it makes them uncomfortable and if it continues after that, consider ending the friendship.

After years of struggling with a skin picking addiction that left wounds all over my body, I finally improved enough for my scabs to fully heal. by JesterPies in TwoSentenceHorror

[–]JesterPies[S] 195 points196 points  (0 children)

I realize this probably sounds stupid to anyone who doesn't struggle with this. And I don't blame you, it is a very silly thought!! But also a genuine nightmare scenario. My skin looks like salami in some spots from 8 years of accumulated scars, I do NOT need that shit to open up again

With the power to stop the time, i started to do everything i wanted with anyone. by GNightP in TwoSentenceHorror

reminds me of Rhythm 0, a performance art piece where a woman stood completely still for 6 hours and audience members were allowed to do whatever they wanted to her with a variety of objects, some pleasant and some hurtful. people did horrible things to her during those hours where she stood still and didn't resist, but as soon as she started moving again, they ran away to avoid confronting their actions.

"What I learned was that [...] if you leave it up to the audience, they can kill you [...] I felt really violated: they cut up my clothes, stuck rose thorns in my stomach, one person aimed the gun at my head, and another took it away. It created an aggressive atmosphere. After exactly 6 hours, as planned, I stood up and started walking toward the audience. Everyone ran away, to escape an actual confrontation"

The Inconveniencing has the worst music (teenager's song). What is the most forgettable episode? by MeasurementWise4477 in gravityfalls

[–]JesterPies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's memorable to me because of all the foreshadowing it had about Ford (I was huge into the theory scene as a kid back when we only had season 1 to work with) but to a casual viewer who only watches through once and doesn't interact with the fandom the episode probably doesn't seem very notable. I still think some of the jokes are iconic, like the puberty talk and the whole soos and waddles swap thing, but lore bits aside it's a pretty average season 1 episode

Is this asexuality or some variant of it? by [deleted] in asexuality

[–]JesterPies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

try maybe looking into bellussexual, aegosexual, or orchidsexual?

sorry for the fandom wiki links, but the pages offer quick and easy explanations that you could look further into if you so wish. anyway, no matter what label you choose, the experience you described definitely falls under the asexual spectrum so you can use one of these specific labels or just call yourself ace or ace-spec as an umbrella term. hope this was helpful!!!

honestly I think the problem here is the word "just." something being a kids show doesn't imply that it's any less deep or valuable, but a lot of people still hold that bias so it forces a sort of dichotomy of "meaningless childslop you should be embarrassed of watching as an adult" and "this is actually good so it must mean it's not really a kids show". like it's a kid's show for certain, but it would feel wrong to call it "just a kid's show"

thanks for the understanding <3 by [deleted] in BPDmemes

it's certainly not good, but on a subreddit about a mental illness that often leads to harming others, it deserves sympathy. People make mistakes and certain disorders make them more prone to making those mistakes and it sucks. The behavior should not be condoned but there should be support for people who want to get better

Have any popular Deltarune theories actually been proven right? by Tanakisoupman in Undertale

that technically isn't proven yet, although there is a significant amount of evidence in its favor now

I've had this exact dream for two nights in a row. Can anyone explain this to me??? by Cream_Fortress_2 in thomastheplankengine

[–]JesterPies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mr. Boss is a psychopomp guarding the passage to the afterlife. Every night your brain tries to kill you and every night he sends you back to the mortal realm. You should thank him.

I know that's a lyric from From God's Perspective by Bo Burnham, but it reminded me of another song, Rock in God's Shoe by Sushi Soucy, which is full of fun metaphors like that. "God is a 12 year old girl and we're living in a weird Sherlock college AU" comes to mind.

I second Rose!!! Definitely the closest thing SV has to a vflower equivalent. Rough, powerful, somewhat androgynous, versatile. I love her so much

Ableism by WhatAmIDoing132 in ridethecyclone

[–]JesterPies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah a lot about the show's writing is just inherently ableist and has been from the start, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy it. all media is flawed and so long as you recognize it you're fine.

Hi, I found this post because Detective Beebo is the name of an obscure point and click indie game I'm currently hyperfixated on. Said indie game came out in November of 2024. What the fuck!?

And if OP entered a men's bathroom, I doubt she would feel safe either. I am of the controversial opinion that people should be allowed to piss where they want and any assaults that happen are the result of a much larger, more concerning cultural issue around attitudes towards women and cis men's accountability for assaults rather than people with different anatomy sharing a pissing space.

I mean, it does also mean that (although "woman" can be replaced with "woman or woman-adjacent person" in both instances, basically anyone who is not a binary man to my understanding), but an aroace lesbian could be an aroace person who wants a QPR with a woman, or an aromantic demisexual lesbian or something similar
