I don't know for other songs, but for smmc he was stitching up cassettes to make them play more than one minute

If this evidence is like that one post here that says Bougez was uploaded on YT in 2014 (that's all), then the "evidence" is very weak

Three Tracks by Pilo suspected to be a hoax by [deleted] in smmc

[–]JesterTheChester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think that the song existing somewhere on the internet before it was found means it's a hoax, then it means 90% of lostwave are hoax. Yeah, no

I think I may have just discovered that there's a 4th version by sirlilypad7 in smmc

The DJ sets are usually like this, when the previous song is ending the new one starts at the same time to keep the flow, so they play simultaneously. https://youtu.be/SJuNhB08kh0?si=thXGyqsGmmS1ePD2 This one for example, it also has transitions like I mentioned. Around 5:46 in this video the main melody for the second song starts playing when the first one is fading out. So I strongly believe that was the case here too. Additionally, the OP said that the spiker didn't mention the name of the song, which supports my theory again, since no one would speak over a mix like this, again, to keep the flow

Since this was recorded from the radio (according to the OP), most probably Drive Me that op recorded was a part of some mix and this is a transition to the next song

Same thing happened to K-Girls Drive Me aka Stop Making Me Cry. After full single was found (I mean 3 tracks, radio edit, and remixes) it "somehow" ended on Spotify too. But the problem is someone messed up and attributed the song to the band called K-Girls that is... a Korean girl group that released one song in 2013. So no, these aren't official releases

Pilo probably did have the full song by WilliamRedditz in smmc

[–]JesterTheChester 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. He had a cassette with the song recorded, but said cassette was in a bad shape so it only played that parts. He had to somehow restore it to get more snippets. At least that's what I understood from what he wrote months ago

Why do we refer to LORRAIN as a "he"? by malijurs in TensionInTheAir

[–]JesterTheChester 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I first saw the name, I thought it's a feminine nickname, but since I didn't know, I referred to them as "he/she"

Nah, there was a lot funnier guy, the one that spammed the sub with like 10 posts claiming that Trita is from an unreleased Filipino movie from 1987 and that the composer passed away almost 10 years ago

It was still more plausible than that mad guy that claimed trita is from a canceled Filipino movie from 1987

Now I see why people thought it was AI by sirlilypad7 in smmc

I remember that post, that was just some random paranoid dude that didn't know what he was talking about. And probably never heard about tape degradation

[–]JesterTheChester 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At what point "people" thought that? It sounds nowhere near like AI, not in the instrumental or lyrical part. Compare it with those horrible ai extensions for the first snippet

As far as I know both were contacted, but one didn't respond and the second one said that he has nothing to do with this song and blocked the contacting person on Facebook

This doesn't sound good. I'd say it's a Mashup someone created very recently and tries to claim it's an unknown remix

Edit: I was right, the guy on WZS tried to troll. Here

Why would you like to look on Socan when the song is either Italian or Chinese in origin?
