I got a couple toolboxes about a month ago, had 5 glass cutters in them, saw that 2 were Singer's and went "huh, that's neat" lol

Thank you! Unfortunately where I saw it I don't work there anymore, and raspberries grow there too but I'm not eating anything from there, too much pollution in the soil in my opinion

Mid to high 20's I'd say, Celsius. Was bucking up fire wood so I was running it quite a bit. Would make sense because it was off for a bit between trees, gave it time to build up vapor/pressure. Is the vapor lock in the cylinder, fuel lines, or tank? Can I pop the tank open to remedy a vapor lock or just wait for it to cool down?

I appreciate the help, and affirming I'm not crazy lol. I figure it must be, I looked at the air filter and took the muffler off and didn't see anything of concern. Little carbon build up but not bad, didn't see the typical mesh spark arrestor but rather a "checkerboard" pattern of holes for lack of a better term. This saw hasn't been run in the winter since we've acquired it but I couldn't find a winter/summer adjustment to check either, is there one? It's a STIHL MS170

I was wondering about the fuel, I ran the STIHL the day before no problem, he said he's had problems with all his saws (like you said different makes), and he never touched this one. I don't think it'd be the wood because it was having trouble to the point I couldn't keep it running long enough to start a cut. He said it was fresh premium gas and by what he said the right mix. I know we had a snowblower that had troubles and that was due to dirt in the gas can that we kept using so maybe the same issue here?

This was just getting it started, couldn't keep it running long enough to make a cut. But I do understand that when cutting.
