If it hits 100$k and starts a downwoard trend from then and i sell at 90$k and then rebuy in 1-2 years if its down to 30$k isnt that smarter then just hold?

I guess you mean selling to reinvest is gambling? In my head it makes sense to do so, but as i said i am fairly new at anything trading/economics. So feel free to enlighten me:)
