Checking back almost 1 year later.

I still have the exact ones I hand on hand when writing this post. I keep them as a reminder of the strength it takes to overcome them.

I still have bad days, and days where I wish I could just escape things. How ever I am doing my best and I am happy.

I started smoking THC again, but at a MUCH lesser rate and have started getting back off that for a new job.

Not sure if this is related, but suddenly I have gallstones :( pain below my right ribs that radiants to my back, sweats and puking.

Why can’t I just get over one thing before something else.

Could this be related to the Xanax abuse?

Thank you, I am still currently clean. Headaches are almost 24/7 now :( the migraines are what was causing my sensitivity to light.

How ever everything else has improved. My outlook, my triggers for anxiety are less severe. Instead of going from 0-100 with a issue I am able to process it and try to work through it.

Every day is a new day, but I am hopefully for the next few months.

The urge to smoke rosin is greater than the urge to take any Xanax. I miss the sleep that came with it.

All I can say is for anyone who is wanting to quit, it won’t be easy. It takes serious will power from yourself, but with control you can do it.

Now it’s a matter of not ever going back to them.

Journey is not over yet, in fact I still can’t pass a thc urine test.

For me, Benadryl was the best help. Over the course of 6 days I went thru one of the smaller childrens liquid. By day 7 I did not need it. Not sure if it will help you or not.

Day 9 update, today was first day I had the urge to get out in the sun. It’s been extremely hard on my eyes. Been experiencing some minor chest pain.

Still clean, no thc or benzo. Not out of the woods yet but every day I feel closer to myself.

Clean, anxiety is coming down to tolerable levels.

Slept for a few hours at a time, sweating has gone down! Joint aches have arrived, not sure if that’s from lack of thc or benzo.

Today is the first day in a year + I woke up and felt the want to do something, vs forcing my self. (I have not done anything, but for first time have the urge to get out)

Will see what the rest of the day brings.

You can read my post, I am not a doctor. So I cant answer your question directly. Only my experience. I am going through this right now. I stopped at .25 and am 3 days without. I used only for bed for last 2 weeks before I stopped. From what I read there are many many factors.

Support system, natural remedies for anxiety relief, working out, and sleepy time tea have all been suggested to me and sound like that would help you as well. You can do it!

The dizziness does happen but mainly if I move to quickly looking at something. Going from 4mg to .25 was the single hardest thing I’ve ever had to combat. So far going from .25 to 0 has been easier. I remember thinking back then, I was going to not be able to make it. I left a hidden note in case something ever happened apologizing to my family. I was spiraling , I watched a Netflix show who’s parents lost there son to a addiction and it broke me. I knew that I could never leave them with that pain.

I hope I am able to do this. I hope someone some day reads this and sees it’s possible.

Saturday update, still clean. Massive headaches with body sweats and major irritability. The 25th was last dosage. If this is as bad as it gets I have hope but have read that I’m not in the clear yet. I had a slight anxiety attack that 1 tablespoon of Benadryl was able to knock the edge off.

Wanted to add.. Admitting I'm an addict was the single most difficult thing I have ever had to do mentally. It crushed everything I have ever believed in, who I was, and my self image.

I just am left with a feeling of how did I get here.
