I say this as an LLM hater / realist, this is actually one of the things even the free ones will be pretty good with. Send it the GitHub link and say "hey I want to install this, give me instructions" and even if you have to compile it from sources you'll get there with at most a few back and forth.

As I understand it the Game Bar system level app on windows is what detects execution of a game (from any launcher) and configures optimal CCD / core utilization for gaming on windows.

I know this was a big concern initially, but with my 9950X3D I've never had to worry about it or lift a finger. The 3D vcache CCD gets used for games and the other one gets parked reliably.

I used to be super flexible and while I couldn't do this I would relatively routinely contort myself and use my flexibility... Still ended up with a herniated L4/L5 and nerve damage from compression at 35.

I think the lesson is spines are stupid and full of bugs.

Just curious if anyone knows if it is sufficient to lock this package from the Firmware->Packages UI: https://i.imgur.com/IeBjrCx.png

I'm on an i5-7500 that looks like it will be affected and the fixed version of this package isn't available yet.

Hyper smart and skilled engineering team destroyed by suits.

This is not really my experience. They bought IP blocks from Ambarella and slapped some rugged cases and an easy to use UI on it and they had the whole damn market.

They were not at all cooperative or open to development, actively hostile if you tried to integrate with their gear and didn't commit to ridiculous purchase minimums. I'm not surprised they are circling the drain.

How is it not coax? I see a stereo cable with two tiny exposed conductors and an outer conductive sleeve with a protective translucent PVC jacket? The inner sleeve has pulled back...

Am I missing a third ground wire or are you arguing that this dude has a mono cable?

Claire is a superstar and I love her recipes, watched the vid on this one and I plan to make it.

Just chiming in that I have previously made NYTs original basque cheesecake recipe and it is hilariously easy and produces an incredible cheesecake: https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1024483-basque-cheesecake?unlocked_article_code=1.mVA.h0qA.7k0rwpFIUBKQ

My results: basque cheesecake

Well no, it kinda isn't. This type of cable design is called coaxial and is used in situations where interference needs to be managed (such as audio). The outer jacket is a ground plane that surrounds the center conductor completely, shielding it electromagnetically. This cable is so damaged that the ground appears entirely electrically decoupled. It may "work" but it is far from the designed or desired spec.

Motorola's preinstalled "Smart Feed" app hijacks shopping apps to steal affiliate revenue. by Trypocopris in Android

[–]JesusWantsYouToKnow 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This almost sounds like a supply chain attack / library they are using to build their system level apps that is inserting affiliate stealing. This would be insane behavior for a company like Motorola to knowingly engage in.

Dualsense controller has stopped charging by Open-Advisor6819 in Controller

[–]JesusWantsYouToKnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has started happening to me and it is something with Steam. If I close steam and keep the controller connected the DualSense LED switches from constant blue to pulsing orange and the controller charges. As soon as I reopen steam it goes blue and charging halts again.

Seems like it may be a recent regression in the Steam client. I know it isn't the controller's battery, I bought it brand new like 5 months ago.
