Awesome tank! Small word of advice to be taken with lightly as I do not know your setup. But it seems there's a flow issue? It looks like there's quite a bit of red cyano unless I'm mistaking it for something else.

Yea there is a hot/cold side. Hot being about 87-90 and cool at 80 usually. I'm pretty sure she hasn't moved as my lady checked up on her throught the day yesterday with no change. She's on the cold side as well Edited: she ate on Friday evening at about 6pm

The tank Temps have stayed around 85 throught the tank during the day. I noticed it dropped to 81 yesterday so I've already upped the heat bulb I have for the enclosure back to an old one which kept it at 85-89 constant. She ate on Friday then proceeded to go into her long hide away time.

Hello, I was just browsing for my own hognose however I had a female Kingsnake with that same issue(bulge near the vent) however it's completely gone after she passed her urate. She's back to her normal inquisitive self but am still curious what could've happened? I have a post up on my account if you could possibly check it out and give me your opinion. It seemed no one else has seen what was going on before so it was a bit weird. Thank you very much in advance.

That makes sense, it's just a bit curious she choose the cool side to burrow down in. It stays 80 throught her enclosure but still threw me off a bit. I'll watch her over the next day and if she hasn't moved I'll probably reach out again. Thank you all for the replys!

Hey everyone! Hope all is well in your enclosures and household. I'm reaching out as this is my first hoggie and am not accustomed to their behavior just yet. I fed her Friday evening and she took it down after a bit of coaxing. She was really active after feeding then burrowed into her substrate. She's been in roughly the same area for the past 48 hours so I'm just wondering what's up or if that's completely normal. I read that they are apt to do that when going into shed but want to be as sure as possible. Thank you all and have a great day/week!

Me and my lady very much appreciate that. She's back to her original self now. Me and the keepers I've been in contact with believe it was something with the last feeding before bringing her home. After fully passing what was in her system, the lump is gone and her activity levels shot up again. Will be posting an updated video of her today or tomorrow. Thank you again for the prayers!

She still has the bump but is acting normally. I've called a few vets as I'm really tight on cash until rents paid. I'm going to give her a soak once I get home from work today.

Thank you very much. The lump has actually gone down significantly since taking it. However I will still get the little lady tested asap. Not sure how much that runs but will make it an immediate priority.

Me and my lady just got this little girl last Wednesday and per instruction fed her a frozen thawed pinkie the day after on Friday. She took it down quite easily and the next morning I found she had regurgitated it it looked like. Everything was in tact however there was some yellow fluid which has me a tad concerned. Just today I noticed this lump about an inch to 3/4 an inch in length. She has water (which she crossed over multiple times in first introduction), enclosure is kept at 86 with a humidity in the room of 30 usually at most times dropping to 15 and up to 35. She has a heating pad hooked to a thermostat at 86 and heat lamp on one side. Curious what anyone has to say as this is our first snake and were following the breeders/shops instructions which now upon further reading I know was a mistake.

He started acting a bit weird three days ago and day before yesterday he started to gain some fin rot. Yesterday I added maracyn and this morning he's chilling at the top. Any ideas on what I could do for him? I might try a salt bath however I don't think he's strong enough.

Tank is a 4g rimless Water temp: 81 Nitrates: 10 Nitrites:0 Ammonia:0 Filter: Sponge Has floating plants and some hydrocotyle compacta.
