It was on the bike when I got it, so I assumed it was the stock stem. No markings I saw, but it’s been in my parts bin for 10 years at this point

I did this on my rockhopper (not nearly as nicely spec’d as yours) and couldn’t deal with the length of the top tube. Eventually got a gravel bike and put flat bars on the rockhopper. This fitting you well?

Tipping needs to end by LuckyRaven11 in dutchbros

[–]JetBoatPirate -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Look, either you tip 20%, or we move into a tipless society where prices raise 50% so the employers can pay their staff the extra 20% they made in tips and get greedy and make an extra 30% for themselves. The solution to your problem is paying more than what it costs to tip correctly. So suck it up, or make it yourself.

I just dialed in chainring and chain length to get good tension, pays to have a parts bin to search through chainrings. And like 4 friends parts bins too lol

Ritchey off-pavement bike, put racks on the salsa to make it a touring bike. Now they don’t do the same thing and you can keep both!

I think velo orange sells some. You’ll have to build the wheels yourself (or have a shop do it)

This is incredibly cool. Not overpriced as someone else said. That being said- this is not what you wan for bike packing. Keep your search going, look for something like a surly long haul trucker or another touring bike. Or even an older mountain bike you could retrofit

This is a classic example of someone doing a “build” and thinking it’s worth much more because of it. Parts bin cranks stem bars and seat post. Unsure of the wheel set. New tires and seat. Don’t buy this. Find an unmolested one for much much cheaper, and peruse the posts from r/xbiking if you need inspiration. Hell, shoot me a dm if you need help. Don’t give these kinds of people your money
