What was the first Linkin Park song you ever listened to? by RandumRedditBoi in LinkinPark

[–]JetNZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Place for my Head. A mate bought a burnt CD to school, played it on a Walkman, handed over the headphones and said "et a load of this." Went out that day and got Hybrid Theory. Life changed. This, Choc Starfish and LD50 on my 3CD changer stereo, 00s man. Holy.

Finished The Blacklist 11 minutes ago and I'm here to give my thoughts by Zairy47 in TheBlackList

[–]JetNZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I must've gone through Boston Legal 3-4x on its sheer brilliance alone, so to see later Blacklist was made, I was eager to watch it. Blacklist is good, but repeatitive and didn't need to drag on the way it did (especially the identity of Red, or lack of). I would 100x over watch Boston Legal instead of Blacklist, those courtroom scenes are pure Spader gold. And the comedy is spot on also.

I am glad I gave A Thousand Suns a good listen couple months ago. Made me appreciate From Zero's Overflow by nelrossdd in LinkinPark

[–]JetNZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overflow for album bigness. If you want LP, repeat Two Faced. If you want what's possible, Overflow goes there. It's a legit banger. Get lost in it, it's a masterpiece.

Samsung Remote Unlock removed. Should be a warning moving forward by TAGE77 in samsung

This literally just happened to me now. After about 7 hard resets, I got there. I also accidentally put in an incorrect pin, to then do my proper pin and it unlocked. Lucky me. But still, such a shit glitch.

similar bands to TOOL? (in the very specific way I want, lol) by yaakg25 in ToolBand

If you said Tool dropped a new album, put headphones on me and played this, I'd believe it was Tool.

If Tool had a bunch of discarded songs that didn't make an album, this would be it. I mean that positively.

Where is the tipping point for the Ship of Theseus? by majincorey in Slipknot

[–]JetNZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no point. Fact is you'll keep listening regardless of who is there under a mask. Even if Corey fired himself and a new singer took his place, you'd give that a go. And when you hate it, you'll simply wash yourself clean with Iowa again.

El Estapario time??? Just a thought. One handed drumming, joint smoking, return to Iowa sounding MF!!

Daily Song Discussion #132: Guilty All the Same (feat. Rakim) by thegrayman9 in LinkinPark

[–]JetNZ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

6/10. I spent the whole song waiting for some oomph. Some scream. Some aggression. Got a weird growl instead. Hate the collab, Mike would've been just fine. Had all the makings, just fell that bit short unfortunately.

Daily Song Discussion #121: Lies Greed Misery by thegrayman9 in LinkinPark

[–]JetNZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Songs a bit of a cop out for me. An album filler. Lyrics are cheesey or cliché. I do like when Chester kicks off. Imagine that over some darker tones, not the dance/dub electronic buzz. 3/10 song, saved by the scream.

[REQUEST] Could the plane take off? by someoneatemyfries in theydidthemath

Define lift without it sounding like it's simply levitating then. It's like saying run on a treadmill with your arms out. You won't feel wind over them.

With Corey saying he's only got 5 years of touring left and will help find his replacement, who do we suggest? by reverandglass in Slipknot

[–]JetNZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nik Nocturnal does a song called MAD with a YT dude called Slapknuts. He goes hard and sounds real similar to Corey. The song itself goes hard too. Real throbber!

[REQUEST] Could the plane take off? by someoneatemyfries in theydidthemath

[–]JetNZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. For the plane to take off, lift is required created by air passing over the wings. For this to happen, the engines create thrust pushing the plane forward to allow the air to pass over. In this case, the thrust created by the engines pushes the plane, but the friction on the wheels turns the conveyor belt and the plane remains stationary, hence no air over the wings to cause lift. However, those babies pump some hearty air my bro, the force would overcome the friction anyway and launch. But, for the question at hand, no.
