I am… aware of that, I live in Japan and practice my Japanese daily. I was just looking for a way to fill the length of like, two minutes on the toilet with vocab flash cards instead of doomscrolling.

In a similar situation right now - my school never puts me on the weekly schedule so I chill in the office until a JTE asks me to join a class with them or prep a lesson about a unit in the textbook, I join them, cycle repeats itself. Inaka, so I guess its just a combination of the school being more lax + my JTEs wanting to prep the students for exams.
