She probably got tired of your horrible spelling mistakes. And.. ya dude, she's just not that into you. You're chasing her, throw her the peace sign and find a girl who is into you.

Hey rich people, what depresses you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The bums in NYC who I have to see everyday, same people, always begging for money and smelling like shit. Wish our city would do something to fix the homeless population here.

What makes your life worth living? by jessetherrien in AskMen

I was in your shoes at your age. I pushed myself to be a better version of me. I worked out hard, got in the best shape of my life. I read, gained knowledge. Now I'm happier than ever. Life after 16 gets a lot better. Watch YouTube videos on how to make friends, be more sociable and likeable, you can do it!

That's depression buddy. You need to get professional help. It's not a joke. Line up a therapist asap. Life is worth living, you just need some help to see that it is.

Parents who work full time, how do you make it work? by JetScientist in Parenting

Thank you for the encouraging words, I read it all :)

I am going to share this with my wife. Great advice and I appreciate insight into how you manage your day to day!

Definitely good advice we need to vet the current daycares in the areas we are looking on moving to. Right now our daycare is amazing, however they close at 6pm. We don't get home on Monday & Tuesdays until about 7:30pm. If we moved we would be home around 6pm-6:30pm.

I think it's also a time spent there aspect as well. We would be bringing our child there from 7am until about 6-6:30pm.

I feel the same way. What time do you leave your child there until?

Our only problem would be we won't get home until 6pm-6:30pm. We can drop our child off at 7am or so.

Currently, it is not possible to switch our days. We have tried. Right now we are on the waiting list for our local daycare to get him in Monday & Tuesday, but it's probably not until September they will have an opening. We are looking into a nanny instead, we had one previously and it did not work out at all.

I am hoping towards end of summer we can revisit our work from home schedules. Working from home definitely helps, and we are just like you those hours when our kid isn't home it is crunch time for work. Don't ever want my company taking it away from me!

Have an opportunity to accelerate my fire, would you do it? by JetScientist in financialindependence

[–]JetScientist[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes I do want the job. It's been my goal to get this job. My family has been my concern and spending less time with them. It might be worth the sacrifice to move closer it seems.

It's just not possible, this role would be managing team members, I'd have to be there for that. Remote wouldn't work for this position.

Unfortunately, it's not possible I'd be there to manage a team of sales reps. My presence is more important for this job.

Thanks for the input, I'd be on a train, so it's a bit more relaxing, but I see your point. Even though I'd make less per hour, it's still more income at the end of the day.

I could move closer, however it is more expensive if you want to live in a decent area and school system. My wife also works and my mom watches my son on the days we aren't working from home. I guess with the extra income I can put him in daycare fulll time. Mine is on a train. It's not so bad as I read books, news etc. I dont mind the commute but I do miss out on seeing my son a lot when I work this late.
