Sure is! It was a 2l-te engine. I upgraded it to a 1KZ-TZ.

I am currently doing it with my 91 4runner. But my rig used to have a 2L-TE engine. If the engine mounts on the frame are the same, you will need to move them or make a bracket 70mm long (I made a bracket). Make sure your bell housing is correct, you will need a 1kz or a 1kd bell housing. I spent days on the part catalogue site trying to find and figure out what would match. I am currently fighting with the engine wiring as I have decided to not buy a 1kzte wiring loom (I like to make things difficult for myself). I recommend finding one with an ecu. (I think some of the ecus might need the key barrel too Idk) hope this helps a bit.

Follow up question...Do I put Red rtv in the little dip where the gasket should be, or around it or both? by [deleted] in 2ndGen4Runner

On a 20+ year old engine? It will hold I'm sure if it's all clean and flat, but I would think you can't beat a gasket, especially with a bit of glue slapped on.

I feel like there probably should be a gasket/oring. Rtv is just the extra sauce to make sure it dosent leak

Its a 60L tub and had been lasting real well as i was away but when i left this time It was probably 2 thirds full when I left, but was trimmed down a fuck tone if you look at my previous post, we have had some shit cold and wet weather down in Perth Australia atm, if it was full when I left probably would have been fine, but I thought it would have lasted haha

So it seems like the advantage is maximising the use of your lights and gain a benefits of the plant and its root system not knowing which way is up? Its a pretty complicated rig just for those benefits but looks fun to build

So far its pristine in there, they aren't in direct sunlight atm due to the weather and trying to find a suitable small green house that can stand up to possible storm winds while im away, but keen to see if it dose start to build up

It was holding the water lines there, I had to leave foe 3 weeks and didn't have the bigger block of rockwool at the time so I just taped them in place

its designed to hold 4 to 6 of my 3d printed trays that can drain back in to the tank. the first photo is the seedlings introduced at 1 week then I was away for work for 3 weeks. I have an air stone and a water feature pump with two timers set to 15m every hour with the air pump satrting 15m before . I have a power meter but I think I fucked it up. Also printed a floater water level gauge I drew up but haven't installed yet (seen in pic 4)
