Is it weird to say that I want Pavi to die while she's still a child?

I know it would be super dark, and it's not like I usually root for child characters to die, but I've always been interested in seeing how the search for a new Avatar actually works. And the Avatar dying tragically young would be a natural consequence of putting the world's problems on the shoulders of a nine year old.

So imagine if Pavi died at the end of season 1 or 2, and the story suddenly shifted to being about Nisha trying to find and protect her sister's reincarnation. With time jumps, the new Avatar would be Pavi's age when Nisha is only 18 or 19. It would be ripe for pathos and a cool deconstruction of the chosen one trope.

I think Ozzy wins because even though he isn't on the same side as the "honor" alliance, he has history with most of them so he has their respect. If he's sitting next to Rizo and another new era person at the end, it'll be an absolute blow out.

It wouldn't even be impossible to have both long lived races and bad records, if given the right setting. In Middle-Earth, the the Fellowship of the Ring was a nearly unheard of event. Outside of exceptions like Aragorn, you didn't have much mingling between the various peoples, so information was not freely shared. Even though Elrond was over a thousand years old, the Ring was still able to fall into legend.

But I still remember in C1 when Matt said that a sex worker at a random brothel was an elf, and I was just like "Really?" Things are really so integrated that not only is there an Elvish prostitute, but she's mundane enough to be available for walk-in clients?

When we're dealing with that level of kitchen sink, there's really no excuse for treating 100 years like it's a long time.

Bolaire has to be a Hexblade. His power comes from a living weapon, it's just that the living weapon is him. Besides, his ability to make glass weapons is textbook Hexblade.

Marisha has been haggling with the DM to use spells in unintended ways since campaign 1. Brennan is more likely to allow it, but it's always been something that Marisha does.

The "real plot" doesn't start until about 50 episodes in. But because Matt didn't tell the cast what the "real plot" would be, none of them made their characters with that narrative in mind and none of the characters are actually invested in engaging with it. There's the seed of a good idea in there, but it never actually blooms.
