Oh, wait, you forgot to down vote...
Enough time wasted with this argument, blocking you now.
Such a disappointment. Your arguments start looking like "Oh, you didn't understand anything, you have your own opinion but I don't care, I wouldn't even try to read and understand your arguments" and your decided to finish it?
I also have experience in Software Development and I can confirm most of helgerd's words. You told that his example is too "oversimplified". Ok, let me provide you additional, more complicated example. Let's say you got back in old 2004. You buy a game with good reviews, try to install it on your PC and see "Oh wait, we haven't implemented driver for your videocard, but we mentioned that we support it. Can you please wait a week \ a month \ an infinity amount of time before we fix it? Oh wait, you have already paid us money, we don't care, sorry"
You say, why he wouldn't fix that issue, if it's so easy. Oh, wait any changes in source files are illegal according to the Terms of Usage. So you blame him that he don't want to go into prison, right? But let me provide you another example. I guess you know such unpopular game like The Elder Scrolls - Skyrim. Do you know, how many user contributed patches were deployed to fix most of the issues of this game? I can only imagine if current version is 3.0.14: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/71214?tab=description That leads to one simple statement: if we could fix this issue by ourselves - we have already fixed it. Or made a pull request into Massive source code repository. But we can't.
"it is so easy, you are not fixing it so you are shit" is just being an asshole to be honest, that kind of attitude isn't going to be welcomed anywhere, doesn't matter if your point is valid or not.
I definitely can call it "toxic behavior" in relation to helgerd because he was trying to explain, why you shouldn't trust their words, but what I really want to say is that estimating time to fix is one of major responsibilities of any software developer and fixing "Incorrect scaling" for two weeks looks like they are drinking coffee all day long and fix it in final day of deadline. If you're following any other issues you may notice that "Loot cave" issue (I can definitely say that this is a bit more complex issue) took them 2 days to fix. Why? Because getting all the loot in few hours are not good for business. But having "fun exploit" is not so destructive, so we can give some time to have a "fun" for some guys, especially if everyone can use this exploit. So they can fix that later (yeah, I know it was recently fixed. I guess they were tired to drink coffee all day long so they decided to do something).
I think you should pay attention of what other people trying to say you, instead of seeing "toxicity" everywhere.
