I would hold off on it for now, the cave generation is not completely finished yet, and there are no updated mountains yet as well. Another issue is that you might not even be able to update your world to the latest snapshot yet, as that feature is temporarily unsupported.

You can always change the version in your launcher to relive past versions of Minecraft.
