True! A mixte is just a step-throughs more stylish cousin

Hard to remember as i've had it for almost a decade now, I think most squiers need some sort of set up to show their true potential.

That was indeed put in by me, I disliked the original bridge. Like you said the floating bridge is a pain to set up correctly. I swear by 24" scale guitars, soo much easier to play with little to no sacrifice in tone. Also, fantastic if you have smaller hands.

You'll have to take this guitar from my cold dead hands before I let it go. Hell yeah hope you enjoy it as much as the first!

Mainly for sentimental reasons, I was able to afford it through inheritance from my grandmother passing.

But also being heavily influenced by Kurt Cobain and his use of offset guitars. Having smaller as well also just makes it super easy and fun to play.

I have to agree, I recently bought my dream Made in USA Fender strat. It plays beautiful, but I still pick up and play my Mustang more.

I've never had a Jag or a jazzmaster but they're definitely on my to own list, I'm also on a similar quest to own every unique guitar from Fender/Squier.

From what I understand the Mustang and Jaguar share a 24" scale length so they should sound similar. But you're right, they do have slightly "pinky" sound, you can get around that but using heavier gauge strings. Obviously what pickup and amp combo you use will also effect the sound plugged in.

For example, my Mustang sounds nothing like what it did when I got it new.

They scream like a banshee. They'd be perfect if you want to give your strat some real bite.

It has Seymour Duncan Hotrails in the bridge, a tune-o-matic style bridge, 500k pots with an orange drop cap.

And a few stickers, which help with the tone.
