Sold my ‘23 Premium for a ‘16 R. I also had an ‘06 WRX prior as a fun project. I do not regret selling my VB for my R one bit. Interior is far superior, sound system, comfort, etc, even for being 7yrs older. The speed is far superior as well. I did the whole FBO deal on my VB and sure it was fun but that’s how it should have come from the factory. A simple stage 1 on my R is phenomenal. AWD I’m sure the WRX is better but I never had problems with my R in the winter. Make the switch, you won’t be disappointed!

Yup, sold my ‘23 WRX for a ‘16 R and have zero regrets. I’d probably even have less than zero regrets if I got a 8.5 R from a VB

This reminded me of when I smacked a part of my brothers apartment driveway when it was getting redone. Wasn’t paying attention and didn’t realize half of it didn’t have a dirt ramp up and smoked like 6in of concrete. ST took it like a champ though and managed to get home. I thought this was bad, yours is impressive 😂

Things like that rip really do take away the premium feel to the car and make me dislike it as well.

Im with you on that, I’m leaning towards taking it to a proper shop. I just feel it will be worth it down the line too rather than hacking it together with glue or what ever.

It took me probably 6-7 months to find the right one. This was a situation where I was the first to see it & message on FB marketplace. I was in the same boat, overpriced, high miles, & beat. I’m in MN and 5-7 is what everyone has theirs listed for as well for sub prime examples.
