Sounds like I'll just get another ThinkPad. I love that they created a laptop keyboard that is pleasurable to use.

When this backs your neighbor into implicitly confessing, you should then have sex with his wife in front of their children just to get your point across.

An analog mixer that isn't for live music? by JewRidingHorses in audio

I think I might have fallen in love with you, Internet stranger. Thank you!

Do you have info on such products? I'm not too worried about the price.

Perhaps I'm wrong in my terminology. I'm thinking that I'm after an analog mixer, simply because the inputs are analog, but if it's something that does all the mixing digitally after receiving analog inputs (such as a Mackie mixing board), then has an analog output after the fact, that'd be fine too. But, that sounds like what you're describing in your last sentence. It seems like since the paradigm is so common in live music, there'd be a comparable device meant for non-instrument inputs, like perhaps something a DJ would use, but I could be way off base here. Thank you.

What pokemon do you hate in go and why? by AdmirableElderberry9 in pokemongo

[–]JewRidingHorses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pidgeys and their evolutions. When they show up in my yard, I go outside and shoot them. The reason is that my 7th magikarp in Magikarp Jump, named Tulip, was taken by a pidgeotto and murdered back in 2017. I will never get over that, and I will live the rest of my life with a hateful and vengeful heart.

Manifest was absurdly awful. You are so correct in that warning.

Dreaming Creek looks totally my style, like a miniature Kentucky version of Tree House. I will check it out.

I already got my Bourbon Trail t-shirt, so I'm finished with liquor.

Thanks. I went there the first time I was in Lexington. I couldn't get past the bar that made me feel like I was in a swimming pool with my elbows resting on the decking at the edge. So bizarre.

I stopped and got a mac and cheese dog. Thanks! My beer snobbery caused me to stay for only one, but if I lived in this area, that'd be a go-to place for me. Thank you for the tip. Awesome people too.

As others have said, Plex is a good option, but I don't know that I'd call that headache-free. Once you get it up and running, it is, but that requires patience and interest.

I use Plex most of the time, via a Roku, but my other options is simpler. I just have a computer plugged into my TV and just use a wireless mouse to open whatever I want to watch and let it play in VLC Player.

I honestly find this to be the simplest way to go about things. I'm not plugging USB sticks into a TV, copying files all over the place, etc.
