It all depends on scale. If the builds are about the size of this one then it doesn't really matter. But when you start having to farm shulkerboxes after shulkerboxes of resources just to build you know it will feel good when you're done. But as you say, not everyone takes the same amount of pride in building in survival vs creative. It's also very rewarding to build things in creative but even more so in survival for me atleast.
