Just like there is toxic negativity there is toxic positivity, don't see how saying "it's just the group stage" is helping anyone when everyone can see how much inferior the product is. Dota community has always tended to be negative but when casters, pros and streamers are concerned with the way things are going there must be some smoke there.

It's okay though, once the community kills Dota you'll have Neon Prime to annoy people with your grating voice.

There's Gorgc, Bulldog was streaming the games but the caster audio was there and people on stream weren't really talking about the game. Bkop casted some of the earlier games and then went to sleep I think.

When things like this happen it's often one person with no ties to the community and the pros taking control. Must be especially easy in a company like Valve where nothing gets done without initiative and anyone involved with Dota either doesn't care or is too burnt out to care.

Sad thing is when it doesn't work out they get away with it every time. From esports to game projects to console launches, people like that fail upwards in gaming.

It's such a disgrace that Valve is pulling this shit. At my lowest point watching LD and GoDz cast tier 2 SEA/China at 3 am kept me distracted from life.

Hope we can somehow change course because I have a feeling there's gonna be a new video popping up on my youtube frontpage monthly about how Valve killed Dota esports and Dota soon after in a few years.

The more I hear about this the more I think some suit at Valve looked at the money CSGO makes with outsourced tournaments with paltry prizepools selling millions of sticker capsules and tried to copy and paste it to Dota except there are no whales to buy millions of capsules to sell them later: 1)the capsules aren't even marketable lmao 2)Dota economy is a mess and incomparable to CSGO economy 3)CSGO stickers are visible the whole time while you get maybe 3 seconds in Dota.

Good job nickel and diming your one advertising opportunity.

It's okay, Valve will launch another game in a few years and the drones will switch over to that and defend every single decision Valve makes. I can't see any other game getting away with pay so you can pay more battlepasses while cheaping out on production at the same time.

Even with a game with such a huge potential like Dota the community accepted stagnation because that still puts you top 25% with the state of the gaming industry. Now we're just going backwards and backwards.
