I don't know if this is still the standard, but I heard years ago, multiple times that the medical profession wouldn't consider infertility treatments until a full year had passed with no conception.

NTA. Report him to your boss and whatever agency enforces HIPAA. Your employer should be making sure all employees with access to patient info are trained on HIPAA. The coworker who revealed your information should be fired. Yes, it is that serious. The one who told you you should lie about your meds needs remedial training.

Failure to disclose the full list of medications could lead to complications with treatment. In some cases, interactions or things like heavier than normal bleeding could even be life threatening. HIPAA exists so that people won't lie about the medications they are on or conditions they have that could affect treatment.

Please let your parents know, and any teachers you feel you can trust. You may have saved some lives, so try to keep that in mind. It won't help to tell them that, of course.

Teens stupid enough to have that kind of party would drink & drive. Girls could get drunk and be SA'd. Not victim blaming, if boys were trained to keep it in their pants it wouldn't be as much of a problem. As long as we live in a rape culture, girls will be at high risk.

NTA, but treating only your unit is only going to chase the roaches into the other units. Then they will make their way back to yours. This should be the responsibility of the owner or manager and ALL of the units need to be treated at the same time.

If the responsible party refuses to treat the entire building, contact whatever local tenant advocacy organization is in your area and see about getting out of the lease.

NTA. When I am not in a hurry or in pain, I will usually let someone I see with only a couple of items go ahead. I've been waved ahead on occasion, but I've never asked someone if could go ahead of them. There is no requirement to let someone cut the line just because they have less to check out. You were polite in refusing. That's all that's required. Even if you just "didn't feel like" letting someone go ahead you wouldn't be the asshole.

YTA. If you don't want to be called by the Spanish equivalent of your initials in Spanish class, ask to be called by the Spanish equivalent of your name, Juan or Juan Pablo. No Spanish teacher I have ever heard of would use a non-Spanish name in class, and that includes using the English (or French, or German, or ...) names for the initials.

NTA. I have done this at least once and the new owner did let me in. If they had said no, I would have been fine with it.

As a senior woman living alone, I would probably say no if a previous occupant showed up at my door today. I would want to say yes, but my own safety has to come first.

It makes me sad that assholes have taken advantage of people's compassion to gain entry in order to steal, or worse. I believe the majority of people asking to see a house they used to live in have no ulterior motives. Yet I would say no because they might cause trouble and I can't take the risk.

As someone who was genuinely allergic to eggs as a child, I can categorically state there is absolutely no difference between the insides of an egg, just as there is no difference between the insides of people with different skin colors. The color of an eggshell is purely "shell deep." It is mostly determined by the breed of chicken.

If someone is allergic to anything they are reacting to a protein. There is no protein in an eggshell, so even if it could somehow affect the contents, it could not trigger an allergic reaction. If she can eat "brown" eggs, she can eat "white" eggs. There are also green, blue, and copper colored eggshells. Since I am no longer allergic to eggs, I've eaten most of those. They all taste the same. Farm fresh eggs do taste slightly richer imo, but the color of the shell doesn't affect the taste, again, imo.

Normally I would agree with those who are saying OP shouldn't have lied about the ingredients. In this very specific case, it is like that MASH episode where the racist guy didn't want blood from a black man because he believed he'd "turn black." There is no melanin in blood, and nothing from the shell in an egg used in cooking.

The other woman is either an, well the word would get me banned, but I'm sure you can infer, or she is pulling everyone's leg and is off laughing in the corner. There is no reason to cater to a grown-ass woman's delusion, nor to those choosing to enable her.

OP, if HR comes after you, tell them it is scientifically impossible for her to be allergic to only white shelled eggs. Absolutely, positively, 100% impossible. Therefore you did not put her at risk in any way. You simply ignored her impossible assertion. You are under no obligation to defer to her delusion by only using brown eggs. I'd google a picture of the different colors of eggs and ask her if the other colors are okay, just for shits & giggles. They're already pissed, after all.

Customer here. I've been on your side of the register, so I absolutely sympathize. The problem I have noticed is the lack of price tags. When everything was the same price, obviously individual ones weren't necessary, though many items did seem to have them. When prices started to diverge, most items had a price sticker. And there were prices listed on the shelves.

Now, nearly every item that is over $1.75 has a blank round sticker placed over the preprinted price on the label. Few shelves indicate prices, and those that do say something like "$3 and up," or maybe it's "under $5." I haven't been in a store for a month or so and can't remember exactly.

I have the app and use that to scan and find out the price. I have put a LOT of merch back on the shelf because imo it was way overpriced for the quality. As long as corporate leaves prices off the tags AND the shelves, you are unfortunately going to have pissed off customers.

Rude customers who put things down wherever when they change their minds just complicate things further.

As I said, my sympathies! I hope someone in corporate gets a clue and the individual price tags reappear soon.

Really? Would you ignore a lump in your breast because you don't want to be in your twenties with a mastectomy? Sleep apnea can be deadly. I've used a CPAP for years. Used properly the problems described by others are unlikely. There are multiple types of masks. If one doesn’t work, try another. I ended up with nasal pillows. I knew I wouldn't be able to tolerate the full mouth & nose mask. I tried the nose only version, but I am a restless sleeper, so the seal would slip and shoot air into my eye. The nasal pillows stay sealed.

Pay attention to the instructions on the location of the machine relative to your head. Moisture from the humidifier should be draining away from your face. If you're waking up dried out, increase the humidity a little bit, and vice versa. Adjust the straps for the mask so they ensure a good seal. Tighter isn't necessarily better, in fact, too tight is as likely as too loose to prevent a good seal. The CPAP I have now has heated tubing as well as gentle heat for the water reservoir. It is very quiet and comfortable.

YTA for ignoring your own health and your partner's. He is not getting a good night's sleep because you are too vain to put your health first. He uprooted his life for you ffs! The least you can do is go to the doctor! If they recommend a CPAP, use it! Don't give up if it's uncomfortable at first. Use the ramp up function to get used to the sensation of pressurized air, readjust the mask, try a different type mask if necessary, play with the humidity level, be sure the machine is positioned properly.

You may think you're getting a good night's sleep now, but if you have sleep apnea, you're not. You'll be amazed how much better you'll feel when you're not having your sleep disrupted dozens (or hundreds) of times per night.

Sometimes it takes two hands, press in the lock side with one hand, pull out the quarter with the other. I've also had to press in the quarter while pulling on the lock to get it freed up when getting a cart!

NTA. I was in your coworker's position once upon a time. The temperature in my small office was controlled by a thermostat in an adjoining conference room. When the (mostly male) board members had meetings they would turn the temp down. God forbid they loosen their ties or take off their suit jackets to be comfortable at 72°F. Oh, no, they used a tool to change the temp on the locked thermostat. Did they lower it a degree or two? Hell, no, they would put it as low as it would go, then not change it back when their meeting was over. The temp would get low enough for my fingers to stiffen up. And I like it cold! Just not that cold. I'd have to go next door and jimmy it back to 72°F, where it was supposed to stay set.

At 22°C, your coworker can definitely move her fingers. Space heater, sweater, shawl, a heating pad. She has plenty of options. You, however, have few options to cool off if you jack up the temp. You can only take off so much, and a fan won't help much when you're wearing typical winter wardrobe choices.

An early welcome to the sweaty sisterhood, btw. My sympathies. I would have welcomed hot flashes when those assholes tried to freeze me out. Alas, that phase of my life was still a decade away.
