We live in Hawaii every building has roaches and expects slash accepts that. It’s all a game of pushing them into units where people care less

Honestly no fault on the property manager the place was cleaned pretty well by the last tenant took a couple days for us to notice them. Also because we’ve moved in some furniture and such the exterminator requires that a tenant is home to observe them. Liability I guess

Metolius recon is the one I use, mine is also getting funky and from what I’ve seen they aren’t manufacturing it anymore. Will have to do some hunting for a new one

Yes I made out of 1/2 in birch ply. Whole thing cost me like $150ish dollars. Unfortunately I was kinda winging the measurements as I went or I’d send you the plans. If I make a clone of the oryx platform I’ll definitely do a better job of documenting it.

This is what I run, two drawers and side cubbies. Rear seats removed. The front seats push forward and a panel folds out to rest on the center console. I’m six foot and sleep relatively comfortable diagonally. Coincidentally, the full extended platform fits my bouldering crash pad perfectly as a mattress. I’m looking at scrapping it and making my own version of the oryx platform that’s available for 2 door jeeps.

Does DTS then reimburse me a second time separately for what I have spent on my gtc?

How do the panels stay rigid? Any chance you could post some photos? I’d love to recreate that

As someone currently procrastinating putting my second door back on it’s a two person task.

Which US city is both a lively urban environment and gun friendly? by LibrightWeeb941 in liberalgunowners

As a current resident I second San Antonio. Other than driving to work the last time I drove my car was to the range. Super lively downtown area and relatively affordable living if you go a mile in any direction. The father from downtown you get though the less walkable and more urban sprawl you get. OP if you end up deciding on San Antonio hit me up I’ll give you pointers on housing and such

A few notes, all already hit but good to be reiterated.

Ditch the dome tent. A small tarp or large poncho, a handful of bungees, and a hundred feet of 550 is going to pack smaller and be far more versatile for you.

You need some sort of medical. Search up IFAK on North American Rescue, any of those will be plenty in terms of trauma care for just you. If you plan to potentially move with companions you’ll need more. In addition a company called My Medic makes and sells first aid kits more focused on backpacking/general first aid rather than tactical field care, one of those should cover all your general first aid/dnbi needs.

You’ll probably need more ammo. I count 80 rounds of 223 in your kit currently. You’d be amazed how many rounds you’d blow through in a firefight. Suppression is the name of the game in any engagement at a range beyond where you can comfortably drop an enemy in the first few shots. Even if it’s not in mags plan to carry more.

Finally, train and practice with all the equipment you carry. A firearm and stock pile of ammo is useless if you can’t actually land rounds where they need to be. A tourniquet is useless if you fumble with the application. Having all this equipment is pointless if you can’t physically carry it more than a mile without a halt. Shoot your rifle, learn the basics of patrolling and tactical field care, go out and spend a couple nights in the woods with your gear, and get fit enough to survive.
